As to the problem, about all you can do is let them soak in the PB Blaster. It's really good stuff, if you have to, let the parts soak for more than just tonight. Don't rush it and you can get them apart. I'm sure...
Buy it...the voltage rating is basically just the maximum voltage the capacitor will handle without breaking down. You could probably get by with a 50 volt cap, but if there are any spikes induced by the generator portion (which is why that cap is there to begin with) they could easily be over...
That's a pretty ingenious use for a spare piece of military equipment that you had lying around. My only moment of shock and awe was when I read that you chopped up the generator head rather than use your impressive fabricating skills to make an adapter plate. Otherwise, good work.
Just a suggestion, double check your stator output again. That would be the wire #1 and #2 you refer to above. When running you should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 33 volts or so (with one meter lead on wire 1 and one on wire 2, set for AC volts). If you have 33 volts and the fuse and...

Check your TM a little closer!! the -34 TM, starting in section 10-2 covers the installation of the ASK, with some fairly reasonable drawings of the panels, nothing dimensional but it gives you an idea of what's involved with them and where the panels go.

Check your feed and return lines really closely. There is a 90 degree fitting right at the pump that other members have had get clogged up with gunk and prevent the free flow of fuel. It could be something as simple as that.

You can locate the capacitor or the voltage regulator anywhere you would like as long as they are hooked up properly. The reason the regulator is where it is, is because of the cooling it gets from the fan on the back of the engine. While it's only a 6 amp charging system, once the batteries...

There is a problem with the WIKI FAQ section I noticed...
The generator head on the MEP-002a and 003a is indeed a 12 lead head, but the coils are wound to be 120 volt coils each....that's how you get the 120/208 volts 3 phase configuration and the 120 volts only....two coils from each phase...

The numbers 50uF and 75v are the microfarad "uF" rating of the capacitor and the voltage rating of 75 volts. That capacitor should be nowhere near $50. You should be able to pick up a 50 uF 75v cap for less than $5.00. It doesn't have to look exactly like the one you have on the generator, as...
