Unless you verified that 75 Hz with a good dependable meter other than the one on the machines, I wouldn't believe it. The battery charging alternator should put out plenty of voltage to charge the batteries anywhere above 1600 RPM's...if you are barely getting enough voltage to charge the...
That is correct for the 002 and 003 as well Peter.
If the DC breaker is pushed in and you still don't get any power to anything, try turning on your panel lights. If they come on, and you have nothing else, then you have a faulty master switch. If they don't come on, then you have either a...
To run 2 of the machines you provided the name plate data for at the same time, you would need an MEP-006a 60 KW generator. If you were only to run one at a time, then you could get by with an MEP-005a 30 KW set.
Keep in mind that the data you provided is for "Full Load". If you knew for a...
Ya'll need to move this event closer to the spring time...couple of reasons.
It's not so dang hot and humid in early/mid May as it is in late june, and it seems like so many people have cabin fever that they would really love to get out earlier in the season....just a suggestion, I plan on...
You should hijack Lane and drag him along with you...he's been spending too much time up in the frozen north. He needs to get down here in a warmer climate for a little bit :-D
The deuce fuel tank should have fittings on it for the feed and return for a deuce...cap off the opening for the in tank pump (unless it's coming with the tank) and use some 1/8" copper tubing and just "hard" pipe it right to the aux fuel pump on the generator. Only other thing you may need is...
Now that's a visual I didn't need. I had just about gotten the image of you cross country skiing out of my head and you go and post up something like that.
Yeah, I got caught up in that one too...In the mill you could count the number of purely resistive loads on one hand and have a few fingers left over. Plus it's been too many years since I've had anything to do with electrical fundamentals.
I'm only assuming this will work since I've never done it before, but if you mark and remove each of the wires on the VR board and tape them up individually so they can't short anything out. Also, I would remove the 4 connectors from the bottom of the AC output box (where the generator head...
You mean the infamous "818 of DEATH". If I remember, he's even making a buck or two hauling WVO with your M818 . Maybe you shoulda kept it...unless you can find one closer to home that is. :driver:
it's quite possible, but I thought it was an open, although unsecured network. Oh well, I've checked the computer settings and updated the flash player, so I guess I'm doomed to stay out of chat until I get home and see if it will work for me there.
Thanks anyway
I've tried several times to get into chat tonight. I keep getting to a screen with a circle on it that tells me it's connecting, and it goes no further. Anybody else having this issue???????
:???: :?auaauaaua:?:?
you don't need it for the VR to operate properly, it is just there to protect it from any noise that may be induced into the system from the generator. You could probably run without it, but you may be severely shortening the life of the voltage regulator if you do
It's just my humble opinion, but I think they are so revered because even at that kind of money ($3k) it's still a bargain. You'll never find anything on the civilian market that is that overbuilt (like DH said, closer to 14KW) and the fact that they are diesel, means they can run forever...
