The new boxes have solid state devices to switch the glow plugs on and off, not a relay. I would ohm out the glow plugs to start with, maybe they are all burned up.

Find a heavy truck wrecking yard and score an air brake axle from a "pup" van trailer with the 10 hole Budd pattern.

It's likely the boom cylinders bypassing internally. I would put a stethoscope on the control valve to attempt to hear if oil is flowing there which would tend to confirm the cylinder diagnosis.

Just understand you have a very very rare truck there, very few (20?) were produced, and it is likely your truck was airdropped or LAPESed.

Your 69 year old truck needs a complete overhaul beyond the engine compartment. If your end goal is to transport dirt, maybe a late model truck is better suited to your needs.

Wow looking good. Data plate shows M45 which is cab and chassis with duals, but yours has been converted to singles with flipped hubs and the correct wheels. Good candidate to make a M34 cargo clone using a bed from a M135.

Yup around $6000. Has the wrong wheels and tires. The MG mount is home made and wrong. Was someone's pride and joy. If you buy it get the fuel line away from the exhaust manifold to prevent vapor lock.

The grease seal is the same as the hub, so any number of suppliers carry that. I found the felt dust seal "kit" by Googling the NSN (see above picture or TM for the number) which brought me to an ebay seller. I am sure the usual suspects like Memphis Equipment would have that as well.

Welcome. Looking at your picture I can tell that this truck underwent a very costly ground up restoration in the past. Meaning someone completely disassembled it, sandblasted every part, repainted and reassembled the entire truck while overhauling the power train. That is the pro. The con is...

I tackled the trunnion rebuild today. Nothing difficult just time consuming. I filled the rust creation sump with silicone, maybe that will prevent the u bolts from rusting away again.
