Kind of sounds like the throw out bearing.

Don't fill the tranny till it comes out , keep it down about 1 inch from filler hole or gear oil will come out around the imput shaft as there is no seal . If you over fill the tranny youwill end up with a oiled clutch.There have been several threads on this .
