Doesn't have anything to do with overspending, it actually saved money. How many trucks have really good sheetmetal? That was the problem and why it took 2-3 trucks to make an A3.
DUG, If it was me I'd just gather all the parts to do an axle (including brakes) and just do them one at a time on the truck. You should be able to do one axle at a time in a day. I wouldn't replace bearings unless there is a problem when inspecting them. You could also replace the U-joints one...
I have never dealt with the A3's. Are the steering boxes the same as an A2? If so, Memphis has the parts reasonably priced. How's the clearance compared to a Multi? I can't see it being any tighter of a fit than an A2.
Westy, I only ordered mine because I thought it was a good idea when I saw them (ordering something else). I didn't even see this post till tonight. I have not looked at what they really go for. I do know saturn got $6.50 for them before they ran out. Can only imagine I overpaid.
Well I ordered both lines for my dropside yesterday ($16.80 and $15.90). I also had other stuff in my order so the shipping was basically no cost. I figure it has worked for 60 years so I don't need to multiply the pressure capacity ten fold. Anyone else check out clark trucks or contact one of...
The plate is NOT the weight of the truck. The FM 5-36 emphasises that the classification is not a weight (page 101). Weight is one of the many factors used to come up with the classification. It specifically shows what is involved with getting the number. It starts around page 96.aua...
An easy solution for mounting the spare would be to get the spare tire carrier for a M818 and use that. Just use the tire carrier and not the whole cross support and just bolt it to the bed wherever you want it to go.
It's a M49. WM, If it's a gasser some stuff has been changed. The drivers side tool box is from an early gasser. Notice the drivers side windshield is newer, where the passenger side one is from an early gasser that belongs on the drivers side. I like the gasser/427 rear exhaust. Good looking...
Well the gas tanks and lines are 100%. Diamond plate is done. 90% of dash is done. LF fender mount is on. Fender is ready to go on. Waiting on rest of LF engine stuff before we bolt the fender on. Seems everytime we looked around we were fixind stuff close by. Going back Sat after next right...
No1, you might want to start a thread just for that. twright has a goat with tilt! (no PS though) As for the pile of goats, I still don't see why someone from OK doesn't put in an offer and do the demil. You could probably get them for $1. (cause they want them gone) We just did 2 items last...
No one has said anything about the Suez Canal? Egypt controls it, and that is a huge reason why we invest so much into that country. Just think of the delays if the Navy had to go all the way around Africa if they closed the canal to the US military.
