Thats not a bad idea but it has one draw back. With the way it pivots now, If one drives off with the leg still down it will just fold back and drag, not doing much damage. (ask me how I know ) If I mounted it sideways then it will get bent and surely bend the rear cross member that its...
:ditto: How did you get the EUC submitted, sent to BC, returned, and an appointment made in one week? Did you preview the truck? There are several items on GL that get re-listed months after they were originally listed and they just use the same pics.
Honestly I really dont see anything...
Ok I finally got to modifying the M105 leg I took off the trailer I parted out. I took it apart thinking I would have to cut the threaded part but turns out you dont have to. The threaded part is crimped into the extending part and wont come out. What I ended up doing was cutting the foot off...
No apologies needed. :) Im actually looking forward to getting the 2 new kittens. One is a calico. They will both be outside cats. The other outside one seems to be pretty lonley since his sister disappeared.
Impressive.
I thought I had read on here that someone had towed them in tandem once by using ratchet straps to hold the two together and keep them from wagging. I still wouldnt do it that way and I think the cops would let you get very far if they saw you doing it.
That is because the owner of that site was "NO GOOD"
While we're here, majortom what stock car parts did you use? Im gonna try to get the brakes redone on my M715 this summer if possible and would like to upgrade.
Geeze OPCOM way to make me feel bad. It wasnt so much about the cat, I have 2 by the way, 1 indoor pet and 1 outdoor mouser with 2 more kittens on the way. It was more about using "cute" in an MV forum.
Its all in fun. No offense intended.
Ft Riley always has alot of trucks sitting there on FMS freeze. Ive seen some sit there for close to a year. I saw 2 wreckers come in from Nebraska NG, sit there for 2 months only to be picked up and trucked off to somewhere else. There are a few trucks there I have my eye on and I check GL...
Every truck I have previewed at Ft Riley has always had the locks cut and the boxes empty. Every truck, every time. The trucks are all intermingled (is that a word?) with DRMO FMS freeze trucks and I see guys in uniform going thru the trucks just like we do when doing a preview. I've seen the...
FMS freeze is "foreign (sp?) military sale". That means that truck is put on hold to sell it to another country. Sometimes they get sold off to other countries and leave DRMO and sometimes they sit there for up to a year and then get turned over to GL.
Sandcobra, I hope your truck isnt one of...
I forgot about lot "H" the secondary lot. I havent been out there for over a year.
I see alot of stuff in the scrap area that makes me want to cry. I bet GL would make 5 times as much if they held a 3day yard sale out of that lot.
ooooh not mech. inclined? Boy did you pick a good vehicle to start learing on.
Ft Riley does have a loading ramp. I would suggest that you get it trailered home no matter the cost unless you can get someone experienced to go along in the chase vehicle.
hmmm 3k lbs? I dont have a trailer that can handle that. I could borrow one from work but I have no way to get it off the trailer at my place then onto another trailer when the time comes to ship it out.
