Before you decide to spend a bunch of time and money on expanding an m1152’s AC to 4 man...convert to 4 man and see how badly you think you need it. Even a 4 man setup is just OK, it’s not going to freeze you out of the cab. I have both 2 and 4 man AC setups...

I definitely wouldn’t, I find my M1152 converted to M1165 sufficiently cools with just the front evaporator. If you did want to do it, install the OEM equipment

A proper working glow plug system should produce no smoke at startup. I gets down past freezing where I live and zero issues on my trucks.
