Wait Light Issues with Legacy Card

Not that it has anything to do with these cards but I largely ignore my light and listen for the relay to kick out before starting.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Lets see! Pulled the cluster out of the M1010 today as it had no lights. Got everything cleaned up and she should be OK now. Did put LED bulbs in but they were weak (after dark check) and put 194s back in. Also drilled the back channel bumper for the military trailer plug. Bought a new...

    lifting a stock deuce

Great advice from many but you have to give some info to get some info. First, your budget. Might be a waste of everyones time if you have a $500 budget. The $50 crated deuces are all in the shed and I'm not selling them. Second, what are you going to do with the truck? Going to pull a...

Trailers that can be hauled by a M48/M275

Besides the M146 Ray speakes of, The M118 and M119 trailers are a match made in heaven. The M348 and M373 are decent too but start getting heavy. I've towed all the above as well as an M313 and M447C. The latter 2 really push the limits of power. If I could only choose one it would be the M118...

My M101A3 Modifications: new front hitch, 3500lb electric brake axle, etc

Thats cool. When parked I would put a ball in the front receiver just to see the look of folks faces.

    Cucv munitions question

There is a popular auction site where they can be purchased cheaply. They have A1, A2 and M4 versions as well as most anything else. I am looking at a lot that has an A1 and an A2 for less than $50 shipped.

    Cucv munitions question

The dummy ones are referred to as "Rubber Ducks". 1958M274 was the member selling them. From the curb, the airsoft version would be fine. Considering when the vehicle was issued, I would agree with many of the above posts, the M16A2 was probably the most CUCV carried small arms.

    M1010 Pic Thread

Jeff, not sure what your plans for the back are but Hillbillywizard has what he reports as a complete interior for the back of the bambulance. Despite the fact that he sells parts, he would not sell me an upper litter berth out of the interior. My search continues.

    Presenting my new M1010

The one who got the back would claim victory! Thanks Pete. I picked up a jump seat from the boneyard. It was out of a Dodge but it's just a bit too wide. Was only $13. Still shopping for another.

    Dually Rims for HMMWV Tires

Long Wheel is the company you are trying to recall. The guy I'm referring to has all HMMWV 12 bolt rims with a well engineered adapter that allows them to be installed face to face. I need to see if I can find him and get some pics. He's a member here but I don't recall him ever posting.

    Dually Rims for HMMWV Tires

There is one member here that put 6 HMMWV rims on his Dodge Dually. He has a friend make spacers that mount the rear rims face to face. They actually look very cool. He's running the HMMWV 37s on the Dodge. It's pretty durable too, its his work truck. Other option is widening rims, there is a...

    My new 1010

Looks like a good start Jeff. The seats sure make it look low mileage. The micro size pass thru is a pain but works well for my kids.

    CUCV emissions restrictions in California

Your post helped him a bunch. Thanks! Somepriests, just wanted to say welcome aboard since the smog questions were already answered by the hive.

    M1010 Receiver Hitch Install

I agree. I did install a cross piece in the rear, just not photographed it yet. Originally it was attached directly to the frame but before it was completely welded in place we realized that the hooks from the rear steps wouldn't clear. Ran a piece of channel across and notched the top of it...

    misinformed

Quite frankly I feel it's a blessing that I have to report my own numbers. The incompetence in the workplace everywhere is astonishing. Rather do it myself and get it right.....or wrong as we see can happen. I would revisit the GL rules you agreed to. Life lesson in play.

Anybody know where to get lift shackles?

The facts on driveline angles. http://4xshaft.com/ At the top click on tech info the scroll down to Geometry 101. Despite the fact that Tom Woods is a premier driveline engineer, many here will argue that dissimilar joint angles are OK.

Anybody know where to get lift shackles?

We are talking 4 or 5 inches of lift. Should not be an issue running correct driveline geometry. Dissimilar u joint angle is a patch at best unless running CV joints. Any competent driveline engineer will advise the same.
