I think its named Silkaflex - tube you can use in your caulk gun - made for this problem for scuffing. Try HD or Lowes. Trying to remember the product # but I think it is 215. Black tube - works wonders like a silicone but better. I use this on semi trailers ribs and skin.
Hey DW - Sea Foam makes a great product to put in with your fluid to help clean the valve and system - also a good pre fluid change flush thought here !!

Have a lot of little things to do before placing parts on - hammered some more on the fuel tanks before it warmed up outside - then opened the garage door and played with little parts.

you will find lots of assistance here once you get one - spend a little time aquiring the TM's and searching for info already posted = more a less get a heads up on what you will be getting.
