    M936A2 Need Engine Assistance

Even without having one of those trucks yet I think I'm safe in saying that there is still a lot of stuff on that engine that can be used again. I would bet that the lines didn't cause the detonation or the starter, valve covers.....you get the idea. I sold a multi-fuel with a broken crank and...

Hearing Protection - An often overlooked safety concern

Since I first posted in this thread years ago the VA examined me and although they said I had not proven the hearing loss was from the Navy service they did agree that the Tinnitus was and they send me a disability check every month. Not much and if I could get my hearing back without the...

    73 mph M1008

If you very carefully wrap it in BS it will hold up for hundreds of miles at 4,500.

    73 mph M1008

So I guess that means they add fuel and run at 5,000? A pulling engine is usually highly modified, as in rocker arm girdles, strengthened main bearing cap, modified rods etc etc etc. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong, just prove it.

    73 mph M1008

How about putting the GPS next to the speedo of the M1028 while you are attempting to blast past 55? I guess you could pull the dash out of the CUCV and put it in the Corvette with the GPS cause my guess is that is the only way that dash will ever show that fast (for real).

    73 mph M1008

Not to further a fight but from what I have heard the speedometers read high in a CUCV, as much as 25MPH high. Please post a pic of a GPS unit showing us that you ran one that fast please. I'd like to get one someday if you can prove they go that fast.

Recovery planned, Dayton, Ohio to Spartanburg,SC this coming Friday

His memory isn't so good after bending a brake bolt on my wife's car yesterday, moving a couple of engines to long term storage and finding a LIVE freakin Hornet on my backhoe when we put the new seat on it. He was cold though and it was fun watching him trying to sting me over and over. No, I...

    M936A2 Need Engine Assistance

If it is that bad it must have been catastrophic and we like to see pictures of catastrophic failures. We feel bad but it's like a train wreck you can't turn your head.

    Why no air brakes?

The reason is doesn't have air brakes is because they are a pain in the butt to bleed. It took us forever to bleed the air brakes on JW's truck the other night after working on it.
