optimum speed is 1800 but you can biuld them to spin 4k+ most stock ones run about 2200 @ 70 in the dodge trucks
Lol, go figure. had it running today and something went wrong in the motor.........tore it apart only to find the first driven gear is made out of bakelite WTF! and of corse it was stripped Dam! called bodine and they said $100 um, no. well made another one out of brass and now where moving...
The ball joints would be the bigest concern. I would put the best ones you can buy in there while you have it apart. I dont belive you will see any other noticable wear.
Personaly I find the price difference a small price to pay as the dot 3&4 are hydoscopic and can destroy a brake system even when it just sits there. The dot 5 being silicone repels water and cotes the internals helping to prevent rust. "I'd rather dump oil on my truck than salt"
[thumbzup] NOT bashing a3's or any of there owners but my a2 will run circles around any a3 ive been in. There not turds if there tuned a lil. I definatly like the hydro winch on the a3 better and the fact they have nicer tires.
last i knew they ALL had problems. mainly head gaskets due to the egr cooler failing. around 4-5k in upgrades and you got a nice reliable engine. :roll:
looking at the pic you posted the tire should be running you over. these same tires are on my m37 (same pattern but civi tire) and they indicate this as the proper direction.
Geeez, lot of 6ohs on here. Dont have any of those but i have a few dodge diesels and they start great at the coldest temps (w/o pluging in) ive ever encountered in MI. One of them sits for months at a time. I am really a fan of the heater grid system. How do you guys think a heater grid would...
