Dose anyone know the dimentions for the bronze bushings in the front spring eyes? How about a good place to find them? I am getting ready to bob a deuce and have a different set of springs but they do not have the bronze bushings in them. The springs i want to use are not from a deuce.
while your right there and spending good coin on the truck change out that front diff lube with some quality synthetic lube. GM has a bulitin on this b/c of a high rate of failiers. Sweet truck!
those pumps have a very low output and are far from durable. 1 gallon per min @ 50 gallons, no thanks. save your money and time and just buy a holley style of pump.
here are a few pics of a pump i biult from a power steering pump for transfering WMO. It draws oil very well and pumps it quite fast. I used it to move diesel a couple of times and it is impresive. Cheap and easy to biuld
I was at the local hunny pot (scrap yard) and came across what looks to be the remnance of a 105 trailer. its been butchered pretty bad but the part that cought my eye was the axle, its dust cap for the bearring is different than any of my 105 axles. Could someone explain why there there are 8...
Ok here are some. Went with the ball mill and the "biuld your own bearing" The top plate and bottom plate are 1/2 inch and the bearing cage is 3/8 with 20 5/8 balls 18 degrees apart. It should work. I only had 4 hours to work on it but i will post more when i get more done.
I did a quick search and didnt come up with an answer for this although i am shure it has been covered.
What about using 360 Brass as opposed to the 2024-t351 aluminum as a shear pin for the duece winches? I can not find ANY 2024 in 9/32 but do have access to brass. Thoughts please.

find a ford with a TTB dana 50 in the junk yard, you should be able to get the pair of hubs for far less than $50, slap some black paint on them and be on your way !!!!
