Jatonka does the shortened steering shafts. That coupled with the thinner seatback and mybe shaving an inch off the top of the seat bottom cushion will go a long way. Pedals are also adjustable if you bang your knee on your chin.
Sure would like to hear what BII is in the tool boxes. A few pieces are made of unobtanium, would be cool if they were present. I'm with Bjorn, one of my favorite variants.
Wow, that's a change I missed. My humble opinion is that oil change regularity will do more to extend engine life than brand of oil. Wait until oil is on sale then buy the heck out of it. I'm still using Delo that was sub $10 a gallon. Bought a decent stash at the time.
3" is probably overkill but 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 would help a little. A balance tube will also help. Being N/A anything to help airflow through the engine will be of some benefit. Stans headers makes headers for them and they work well but are pricey. An air cleaner mod would also be in order to...
Yes on the springs. The M1028 and M1031 have overload springs and the M1008 does not. The M1010 doesn't have the overload but does have a quite healthy spring. As far as the pintle, I would think that it can tow more than the 6.2 will allow it to tow. They are pretty well attached to the...
If the back is empty it's not worth that much more than a regular truck to a true collector. There is lots of aluminum in the back when it's complete. Is this a 1500 or 3000 gallon unit? Pics would be nice. The box is very unique with a side door and the entire left side opens. Chassis wise...
Highway 95, If you knew that coming into this, why not look at the TM? What took you hours to find out and posting in 2 different forums could have been found in 2 minutes with the TM.
Have the seller get you the VIN. If the 4th character is a "G" it's an M1008. If it's an "H" its going to be either an M1010, M1028 or M1031. Which models have the lockers and limited slip was covered. FYI, the front limited slip used was the Spicer "Trac-Lock"
This is really going to require a call to the hub dealer. Since the hubs weren't factory equipment, the TM won't cover them. Different style of lockouts use different hardware which probably have different torque values. With all that said, I usually hit them with the impact and call it a...
There is probably more info on the 10 tons here than anywhere except maybe the TMs. If you utilize the search engine and read every thread, your knowledge would be vast. You will also be well versed on the site and its functions.
