My experience has been that once the points are filed, they stop functioning right quick. Other than that, I've had really good luck with the mags.

Good luck with your endeavor. As a former M887 owner I can attest to their weight. The SECM body itself probably weighs less than the genset/welder. I ended up splitting mine and put the body on a trailer frame. Worked out nice but in the end, I got rid of the way heavy Hobart.

Thanks Clinto. It will likely get moved in stages so having a layover in your area will be of benefit. Mike and JW are coming down to Gainesville in March along the I-75 corridor so I have that I can work with as well. Not being in a hurry will make this move much easier.

Add a 12V receptacle to charge cell phones. Take a jump box as well, extra power always a +. Spare fuel filters is always a must. Lastly get at least the middle of the road AAA membership. That covers a 100 mile tow.
