I looked again it stays around 210. The gauge has a wide range without exact markings though. I have never had a temp light come on and I ran the snot out of my truck on a 90+ degree hot summer day.
I always thought the cat likes to be around 200 to run well. I have never had a heat alarm go off didn't know the truck had one. At 215 the gauge is nowhere near the red zone. I think my M923A2 original shutterstat was 215 also. I go 57 or so on the highway at close to full rev for 15min or so...
The boom support rods are the travel lock. I don't know of anything that should prevent rotation. Did you look all around and under the boom mechanism for foreign objects? Does it sound like its binding anywhere? If there were locking pins in place I don't see how it would be able to move 10...
I call all the time and get thru. They have a hold system that tells you how many callers are ahead of you. I find their customer service to be much better than GL. Be brave bid on some. Stuff is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
The suspensions are soft. If you watch my pull video the rear mudflaps are dragging the ground. It looks tall so your center of gravity was pretty high with it on there. I would still feel confident putting that weight in my truck.
Got everything working. Put a new style thicker steering wheel in with the self cancel blinker. Reverse switch is in the shifter and works properly. I have an Ibis Tek 200w Whelen airhorn pa siren to install the original horn is just embarrassing.
You want to check the diff fluid levels it's easy to do there is a fill plug and fluid should be about 1/2 inch below that. The fronts have boots and grease pack if a boot is leaking or turn it needs to be replaced and possibly re packed. Other than that I haven't done anything else to my hubs.
No idea. Maybe on an a1 truck. It was just the housings that were sold off. No tachs or switches that I saw. I found all the parts to add breakers to the empty spaces on the power panel. It's crimp connectors and special plastic tabs to hold them in. It should be pretty easy to wire up whatever...
A ton of them went thru GL 2 months ago. In 2 separate lots the housings in one lot and the front plates in another. There are a few around but the seller thinks they are worth 250 bucks which is one zero more than I think they are worth.

I have some stuff mounted on top of the heater box. It works pretty well. I dont know about the tach pickup but winch trucks do have a tach. Do you have a 1st gen or A1 truck?
I put the cold weather kit on properly it's actually pretty well sealed. I don't like the front door windows though I'm tall so they are a bit low for me.
The Berlin CT fair is in 2 weeks they have an unlimited 4x4 class it says 10k though. I emailed them and am waiting to hear back. If they will allow it maybe a few other members will show up. I would pull the humvee I just dont see it being impressive.
There is a large space to the left of the battery box on most first gen trucks. It looks like wasted space. The A1 trucks have an angled rack of sort there and winch trucks have the hyd reservoir there. I can post pics if needed.
