Plan is leaving MIA Tuesday in the morning; do some cloth shopping; short stop at Kenny's around noon and on, North, to be in DT early on Wednesday.
Plenty of time and glad if I could be of any help... PM me if interested.

Yes, it is possible and has been done. You would need to find the "deep dish" 5ton bridge truck wheels & spacers, though.
(pics below, showing 14.00-20 NDT's on said wheels)
I can imagine.... she probably just expected a different color...

Bolts/studs shearing off there... I have never seen/ heard that, but I have found them loose(!) and that is always a cause for fatigue - until they finally let go.
Suggest installing them clean and oil-free, with plenty of Loctite 271.

Good point, pctrans!
I should have considered that in my earlier post... : backspace for 5ton-10" combat's is 11.4" and FMTV's = 11.25"; but HEMTT's only are 8.9"... so track would be 5" wider with these!

to Q1) YES, but not recommended!
to Q2) NO!
If ground clearance is the most important factor - besides flotation and load capacity - I would go for the 16.00R20 XZL
You should be able to find a set of 5ton 20x10" combat wheels (or FMTV- or HEMTT wheels) so you can run them tubeless!

Good luck there...
And FYI, that has been done "in house" already... read this thread or directly go to this web site.
Also, please re-read the forum rules: cross posting the same post within multiple existing threads is not allowed!

Both wheels are industrial std, 20x10, so the bead- and "well" diameter are the same for both. Also the wheel width, of course.
I see no reason for the same BL not fitting well on either one.

Edit: attached is just an updated version of the previous drawing, posted above.
Unless you were assembling your inner WS's with OEM parts only and "fresh made" rubber stripes..., these would never again fit (and seal) like the first day! Especially not after an old, rusty frame has been restored...
Even on the original WS-assys they usually end up collecting rainwater in...
Possibly a 6.354.4...? Many (in my area) have adapted that engine in a Deuce, mainly due to availability but also because of their popularity and very good reputation!
This chart may help to better identify the engine you are looking at...
