Anyone know a great shop in SoCal for service?

we pay shipping from Yermo/Barstow to the shop...mind you, that’s not to just get the oil changed, that’s for a complete A,B,C Service, replacement of all worn, defective, wheathred Parts, new WS glass, tailgate, cleaning, road test, etc... we even reactivate the red dot AC...

    Buyer's Regret?

Using an aftermarket controller and harness is very simple and setting the TPS is as easy as stepping on the accelerator pedal and letting off of it and you are ready to drive. I’ve done numerous aftermarket controllers and they seem to be quite flawless. It’s about a 3hrs process once the trans...

They are owned by GP, they will be coming up for auction in a year or so, they still have acres of m1123’s to demil and sell.

    Buyer's Regret?

The people who regret them are folks who can’t work on them and have to pay a shop, can’t go to local store and buy most parts and are just plain impatient and want it all Now kind of mentality. a few times a week I get calls from buyers and thats what I take away from the calls.

    Tied up engine pull

Drop the oil pan, unbolt the rod end and see if you can pound the piston up into the cylinder, I was able to do that on one I had that way.

Fuel Filter too short. Part missing?

The canister is 4 3/4 from top to water separator shelf, looks like you have the 5in version no longer mfg’d. HPG lists a 4in and 5in filter...the 5in is mfg discontinued, or maybe it’s a newer style I’ve never seen, I have only ever stocked and used the 4in in 25yrs...

There is no spacer...correct filter, o-ring, water separator is all that is needed, you can even remove and cap off the transducer as it’s not needed, you won’t be using ste/ice. correct filter is 4in long

    Fuel Leak In the Valley

Time for the job depends on how clean everything is, if it’s a mess, you want to take the time to pressure wash the engine and that area ahead of time. Than there is the old intake gaskets, they can be quite crusty and stubborn to get off all the old gasket, the intakes have to be blocked off...

    Fuel tank access cover

i do them all the time without dropping the tank...just don’t go deep with the cutting wheel... use the panal as a template, the 4 holes drop almost exactly where rivets land. the left and right cut can only go so far as there is a structural panel/beam in between the cutout.

    Fuel Leak In the Valley

Pull the intake manifold and replace it, the oil filler needs to come off to gain access to the 3 metric bolts holding the pump on the timing gear. Put in new intake gaskets as well. Set the pump dead center on the timing mark or a hair to the drivers side, the mark is on the pump and the...

HMMWV hard starting. Can't figure it out please help

Why would you open the water seperator when not running? You want to purge the water and debris while you have fuel pressure. Have you checked you fuel pump? You should have a good stream of fuel from the water seperator when running “assuming drain hose not clogged”, if not, tells me the fuel...

    Mechanical to electronic IP?

Can’t run a DS4 pump, you have no computer to manage fuel, and you don’t want a DS4 anyway. The mechanical pump is just fine and works better.
