RE: VA rally 4/4/08
I will be there with a friend in one of my M35A2s. I might bring another truck if I find another friend who wants to drive one. Mike, count me in with one friend for now.
James, you have probably already thought about this, but I recommend that you buy a complete truck and just take the motor out of it. If you got a truck that was cosmetically unattractive, you'd probably get it cheaply. Every once in a while you'll find a terrible looking truck with a new motor.
I don't need any spaces because I have already reserved them, but my spaces are right in the middle of the SteelSoldiers group. I have two spaces available if anyone wants/needs them. You can have them for what I paid...$50/spot.
DaveP: What is wrong with the whole truck? It sounds as though the guy is parting out since you say you are getting parts off of one. I'd rather have the whole truck by the looks of it! I always wanted an M945!
SERMIS contacted me first about them. I am not sure that my buddy has more than one pair. I will let you know if he does not take them. My friend wants $500 for the pair...brand new...still in plastic.
I fell terrible about making this mistake, Guy. I forgot that I sold them at the last Aberdeen show and mistook some M105 bows I have for the 3/4 tonners.
I have owned both an M1043 and an M1045. I've never seen an M1044, but isn't it the same as the M1045, except with a winch? Or, is it the same as an M1043, except no winch?
As long as we are bragging about our wives...my wife once drove an M35A2 from NC to MD...BY HERSELF...just to help me out!!! She also drove a deuce seven out of the 11 hours from MD to upstate NY and most of the trip was through a torrential downpour. She loves the trucks and has driven...
Bill, I think you are going to find a hard time finding a trading partner unless you toss in some cash. I saw those covers, too...and most were on camo trailers. You might consider going straight to GMA. I bought a cover from them and they are pretty reasonable. The only camo covers that are...
A few of the Mk48 front ends have hit GL and will probably continue to do so. I would doubt very much if a complete HEMTT hits GL except on the off occasion. If one did, however, I'd bid hard to get it...and I'm sure I would not be alone. This would be one of those occasions where I bet the...
Jason, sure, I'd sell you one. All three are very, very nice. The tires are a bit dry, though. A couple even have the cargo covers. I'll give you a buzz this weekend.
