Gunwriter, Not to butt in line infront of the others but I won a 105 out of riley today and it has the newer crank up style gear on it. Im thinking im gonna just put the trailer up for sale pm me if you want to work a deal on the landing gear, Im just on the east side of Manhattan.
TadB, Just for reference, I paid right at 3 grand for my 818 from GL with buyers fees and all and it isnt missing anything. I drove it 300+ mile home and ran fine. If he thinks someone will give him 8grand ask him why he still has the truck and not the the 8 grand in his pocket?
hmmmm would you look at that. put www in front of it and it makes a link for you.
fireman also try asking around some of the local small volunteer Fire Depts. sometimes they have scrap piles and old parts they have taken off of the trucks they use. thats how I got the tailgate to my truck.
eastern surplus just posted a thread with a bunch of m715 parts listed on their website says they have a tailgate that is not listed. I dont know how to post links but I know its something like www.easternsurplus.net or something like that.
Sundance, were you heading north on hiway 99 sometime about 430 pm near the town of westmoreland, KS pulling a 105 trailer? Its about an hour from Ft Riley. I was headed south and saw a good looking 109 with 105 trailer and the driver had a huge grin. :-D
Ian, be careful with this OD stuff. its more addictive than Jeeps. I was all set to get the yj done till I picked up my M715 back in sept. and now have an M818 for a tow rig but it needs bigger tires so the yj needs to go.
Look around the site here, there are all kinds of cool projects to...
Ian, sell the truck (just to save it) and get a "run of the mill duece" to bob. If you need any other projects I got a '90 YJ on 38's thats dead in my driveway that needs to go.
PS love the show and you guys have done some awsome projects.
Corey, So are you saying on say an M818 with air over hydraulic brakes the front hubs can be flipped? Wonder what that would look like with the HEMTT wheels mounted reversed on the front?
KaiserM109, If you talk to the current owner and he wants to sell parts Im looking for the lower tailgate hinges. The part that bolts to the rear cross member. and some tailgate chains if he has them.
