I am not sure what is going on with the in box. I emptied it as far as I know. It matters not. I have several emails use rengle523@comcast.net that one will work and has endless storage. I think I am game for your needs. Straight down I 81 at exit 90. Let me know. I will be in and out most of...
I will be there on Saturday AM along with a few of my friends with vehicles. We will NOT be camping over night. And we will wheel Saturday only. See you then.
That's a tall order. Since I have no idea how much hacking/changing took place. The sky is the limit when the wrong guy gets a hold of any vehicle let alone a CUCV. A simple stereo install has completely ruined a few CUCV vehicles that I seen. Not to mention the bypasses, gauges and push button...
I sent you a PM. I will try to help. But for the record I am out of the CUCV parts business. I would rather scrap/warehouse the parts then deal with most people I have dealt with here of late. Not all people. It is more of a hassle and not worth the time and effort for all the crying and...
Thank you. I appreciate that. I truly try to help out and keep it simple, basis and cost effective. I have succeeded in keeping several CUCV's running for over 20+ years. That means a lot just to be appreciated. Thank you. I still have so many CUCV projects to complete and start. I think it will...
All is well I just have some interests in some other things and want to down size. I am getting a brand new 4 door 8 FT bed Chevy pickup. Sort of a more useful and versatile vehicle with more comfort and safety. Basically a big change for the better. Less work for me. Besides the Grand children...
Longer then 32 years? Wow I will be surprised if the truck even exists then. I would say the original rag joint lasted 30+ years and is still going it did well in my world. :)
I googled it and found several choices. Some as high as $225. That seems like the way to go. Unless you have a YOUPULLIT near by. Good Luck. If you need to reuse your intermediate shaft and just replace the rag joint.
I would get a replacement intermediate shaft whether it be used or new. That rag joint needs replaced. They do have a U joint replacement shaft but I never used one and do not know the details or part number. I hope that helps.
No I just never paid attention to the operational parts of an alternator. I just remove them and drop them off and pick them up when they are repaired/rebuilt. I am sure I could rebuild one if I had the desire. But I let well enough alone and give that work to someone else. I was amazed at the...
I will assume that you are wanting alternator parts? Excuse me for my ignorance of your terms. I do not know what a rotor is in an alternator.

I am putting all my CUCV's up for sale in a few months. I am down sizing my fleet and going to consolidate. Maybe move onto something different. I have 1 posted and for sale on the internet.
Two new Group 31 batteries seem to have solved my starting problems.
This is often the key to most ills on a CUCV. That and the injection pump can make a difference between a turd and a good running CUCV. Also this prevents the need to start the wire hacking and bypassing. Good deal. Have a...
Good Job. Looks great. Everything nice and neatly painted and installed the way it should be. NO HACK job there. I am used to seeing good enough hack jobs on most of the CUCV'S I look at. Attention to correctness and detail is what makes vehicles look good and function as designed. These were...
Bring it down here and park it on my lot. Then you can have it and it will be at the halfway point. I just found a 74 K5 Blazer a few months back and am going to chop one of my M1009's and make a complete convertible out of it. CUCV Hott Rodding and Modification. Imagine that? Me the guy cutting...
