looks kinda like a spark plug. I remember when I unhooked my spark plug it made the bulb in the dash much much brighter. try disconnecting it and see if it makes the bulb glow. if it does yours may be faulty. also be sure with your meter that your getting voltage to the bulbs socket and it's...

make sure the single wire running down to the battery is hooked up. it's a 12V circuit and runs off 1 battery and the bulb is always kinda dim. check that wire and grab a DVM and start tracing it down.

Re: RE: 2nd daft 816 question what I mean is that with your seals gone the cold start injector is dumping fuel into the motor all the time. thats why your are seeing pressure on the gauge when your not supposed to. fix those 2 orings and fix them quickly. does your truck otherwise run good...

the deuce system is totally different. when the deuce locks in it does it via the transfer case with a air shift valve. it does not use a sprag like the 5T trucks do.

there are 2 orings in the back of the primer pump. I got mine at the hardware store. just use a wrench and unscrew the hand pump from the dash and pull it straight out. 2 new orings and your good to go. also since you are having this problem you know your getting raw fuel thru the primer...

it you get the clank in both directions it sounds good to me. thats what mine does. there is a MWO to put a deuce airshift valve on the 5T but I dont have a copy of it and dont know how the mod is done. wish I have it bc I'd like to do this to my 5T.

Re: RE: Gathering opinions..... yup. and does this bc he doesnt get paid to do anything different. and nobody at GL does no matter what site it is. so when it says not running you never know. some batteries and fuel might fix it or it might be missing a piston. you have to take the time...

and every fitting means more chance for a leak. and leaks in the fuel system are very bad.

there are some places that will build you custom wheels to do just this. but be ware of who they are. do your research of them.

in normal operation the gauge should show 0 when the engine is running and the primer pump is locked in the dash.
