Sorry Warthog, didnt know you wanted to play too. Tell you what, you can come and help me with the recovery of the 818 over in Norman if you want to. I'll let you know when Im coming dow there.:-D
I'm looking for someone near OKC that can pick up my towbars (2 strapped to one pallet- 600+lbs) and store them for me till I come down to pick up my 5ton from Norman. I would like to only make one trip down to pick up my stuff.
I'm willing to pay for gas and storage fee if needed and not to...
Anyone checked out the M818's in Norman OK? I need to find out if the one I won is drivable? Sale 3973 lot 7261. I know they all said wont start or doesnt start but Ive heard lots of stories about guys driving trucks away when listed that way. I'd like to have an idea what Im getting into when...
Found the TM for it :TM-5-3895-330-10 Spreader Aggregate Towed: Force Feed . Pneumatic Tires 8 Ft. Width (Burch Corp Model FF-8. Manual says it is used behind a M51 5ton dump truck. Dont think Ill be able to use it in the way I wanted to.
OK so heres a ? I have. Does this thing actually sit on the ground and drag behind the truck and would it be possible to to just drag this behind a small tractor and when the box gets close to empty just stop and re-fill it instead of being constantly filled by the dump truck?
Does anyone here know where to get the rivnuts and installation tool? I want to move the shelf on the front outside of my shelter up about 3 in to clear the cab on my truck. I dont want to just re-drill holes and thru bolt it. want it to look "original".
Sorry to dig up an old thread but.... did anyone find out what truck this attached to? do you have to put it on a truck to use? I would like to have something to help spread gravel on my driveway but I dont have a dump truck and doubt this would attach to my M715
Glad to see you got it home ok. Mine has the same lights in it, Im thinking taking one out and rigging up a way to mount it in my M715 for a dome light.
You know I never even thought of looking for the stack from engine. I guess still being a noob I just figured all deuces had the engine exhaust come out by the passenger door.
Its a M185a? looking at the pic, there looks like an exhaust pipe or something sticking out from under the box right above the tires. Was there a generator or some kind of heater for the box on the M185's ?
Did drilling the rims work? pics? Im curious because I already have 8lug 15"rims with some brand new swamper TSL's mounted on my stalled out rock crawler and would like to put them on the M715 instead.
I thought i might have to load mine too, but they had to move one out of the way with the fork lift and they picked mine up and set it on the trailer for me. left me to do the strapping and I think it was something like 20 min from the time I signed in til the time I signed out.
