But think of it this way, those tools can also be used for other fixes. If you lose a wheel cylinder you could almost have fixed it if you had fixed the seal yourself. I always tend to try and do any fix myself if not for any other reason to get a new tool. You will always use it again.:wink:
Even if you charge them, they are not compatable with the deuce, you are asking for trouble. You just need to get the right batteries. Do an internet search for nicad batteries you will learn alot.
They are aircraft batterys, or possibly from a ground start turbine. They are totally incompatable with the deuce. I would consider it lucky they have not had a thermal runaway or damaged the truck yet. Personally I would not attempt to start the truck with them in it again. Something very bad...
So you are saying you can take a hub off say a 3/4 ton chevy pickup from the late 70's with a dana 44 front end and put those hubs on a corporate 10 bolt from the mid 80's? IF it does work, it would still have the weak 10 bolt axles and would have to prolly buy the whole axle to get the hubs...
They are pretty hard to find. I'd agree, probably for a plow. SECO in Augusta has 3 M342's for parts but be ready to open the wallet. Someone had 2 tailgates about a year ago. Kenny, may know who it was.
