You can always install a remote reservoir (see this and other threads: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/42401-remote-brake-fluid-reservoir.html)
and forget about having to open that access cover periodically for fluid level inspection... Adds in both, comfort AND safety!

Agreed if you mean the sprag-TC T-136-21, it does work (fairly) well off-road AND well on-road!
As for the Air shift TC (T-136-27) YES you can have it engaged (= locked = true 6x6) for as long as it gets sufficient air pressure, 50psi or more.... and NO, you shouldn't drive on pavement that...
No Mark, look at the diagram below... no sprags, no extra pair of gears like the T136-21 has.
When the clutch is engaged it is a true 6x6 locking all driveshafts together at equal speed to all axles/wheels.

Before "destroying" a good wheel better sell them and get the 20x11 shells from Longs Wheel in JAX, FL. Then you can still fit in your Deuce centers at whatever backspace you prefer...

A few years ago barstow truck parts used to have a huge qty of NOS replacement kits (2520-752-1777), fairly cheap. Others might have them too, so better check out the typical suppliers before buying used.
The kit comes complete with 13 parts in total, including the washers which I think only...
While that is true, it should be noted that they still make the XZL (MPT) in the equivalent metric size: 365/80R20
Also available new in your country (see EUROTECH SERVICES INTERNATIONAL): Conti 14.5R20 MPT80 and Conti 365/80R20 MPT81.

Yes, well done and great job so far! (.... except maybe for the bobber....:-P )
I would really like to see this all done to the original 6x6. But... to each his own...!:)

Both are 5º and almost identical diameter (d1). (see it here..., post #17, second pic.)
..... I tried to explain why NOT, in that same thread... (post #10 and #17... see drawings)
Yes. But to run 395's you would prefer a wheel with 2 or 3 inches less backspace, to avoid rubbing against...
:ditto: TM 9-2520-246-34P, fig. 3
A little side note: sleeve #10 goes the other way around. Also part #9 is just that small round headed safety pin...
Both fixed below.

Thanks and...... :funny:
No "special order", in this case I had it filed...:-)
The good thing: I did remember having done this drawing some time; the bad, I can't remember what for...!:-( Probably to help answer my own questions....:-)
