Oh you need United States of Freight for that, needs to go on a drop deck shared load with other cargo to get a rate around $2/mile. USF understands Army crap.
Oh no don’t junk it. Fuel system on Detroits is super simple, a gear fuel pump driven from an accessory drive and 6 unit injectors actuated by rockers from the cam under the valve cover. Either must be leaking into the engine. Pull the valve cover and run it and see if you see fuel leaking.
Lots of us have had great luck with transmissioninstruments.com. The guy will diagnose for free and not charge you if your controller is good, which in your case is very unlikely.
Easiest route is probably getting a “shopmade” trailer title, technically that is incorrect but nobody will care, correct process is to do a bonded title.
Yes with the distributor pulled and engine at tdc #1 fire position, use a flashlight to look down the bore at the slot on the oil pump, repeated stab it until you get it where is needs to be for the rotor to point at #1 tower.
Pretty sure that’s the truck Berand got stranded in with a blowout and posted here needing rescue. Better check the remaining tires for age over 8 years. They will blow out too.
Welcome. Without a doubt Kaiser built these A1s from scratch. At the time, CJ-5s were being churned out in Toledo so the minor tooling changes needed for A1s would have been easy. Rebuilds were almost never done on manufacturer’s assembly lines.
