Hard downshifting? Really? Or is it you?

I understand what you are saying but if a truck lunges forward unless your foot is glued to a pedal it is going backwards, not forwards. Newton's Laws. Now if you are saying the foot goes back and then forward that's different.

UP Date 4/12/15 For Behr paints remember a lot of the older posts below with Behr mix #'s on the lids are not true FS they were color matched, so start with a clean slate. Tell the clerk the list of the FS codes in the HD paint computer is found by going under "Competitor Color look up" and...

Is there a door limiter to prevent guests from hitting mirrors with the door?

I have broken two mirrors on my trucks. I'm very careful now but for guests a small child's aluminium baseball bat works, wood if you want to pinch hit.

    No answers

Pretty sure they have all been answered but common sense dictates an answer for number three on braking. Pretty sure that Newton's laws cover stopping something that weighs more and has more rotational mass, i.e. bigger tires/wheels. Now is it going to be a big difference? Maybe not, but if...

Small holes drilled in top rail of bed

Could be anything from a special mod done by the unit that had the truck or an owner that mounted Christmas lights on it. :-) I had a box on the back of my first Deuce and it used different mounting brackets even though it was a cheap box right from the military.

    M51A2 down

Watch the oil when you drain it and look for consistency and when you drop the pan check the oil pickup. Gimp dropped one of mine 8 days ago and check each rod and main bearing caps. I think the oil was the problem since it has been fine since the change and cleaning.

Oil pressure at start up questions

Scar59 sells the spin on oil filter kit. As for the noise maybe you would want to get an M923A2 with the 6CTA in it. Talk about quiet. I thought the heater fan was running when I started it the first time.
