How to engage the front axle?

I never thought to put my brake remote reservoir inside the cab on the edge of the seat. Just teasing. Are you testing it or what?

Ham Radio Operators / Steel Soldiers

After living a few miles from the site of the largest HAMvention in the world I figured it was about time to get mine. My boss is teaching a class for a local CERT in January and we take the Technician Class test right after for $15 outside Cincinnati. Evidently the craze now is the Baofeng 2...

    12v grounding/wiring question

Wheelspinner is correct. My solution is to not add another mechanical item to break or maintain and further clutter the engine compartment. Let's add more expensive cabling for an extra battery, another belt and alternator. I have yet to see one member post they needed enough power to run a...

Anyone know someone to do mechanic work/diagnosis on a deuce in Oklahoma?

Most of what you want cleaned looks to be inside the engine compartment unless you just want to get under it. I don't think I would use a pressure washer unless it had a wide spray nozzle to keep from cutting into things. Spray degreaser on it first and let it sit a little while.

    Recap on "cold weather starting"

Like I have said in the other cold weather starting threads steer away from the magnetic heaters from KAT's.

That has to be some of the cleanest crankcase oil ever to burn with no smoke at the end.

That radiator looks like it has been in for a while to rust that bad. It is the bottom bracket and not part of the core. Wire brush and paint it with Rustoleum or a rust paint of your choice. Clean your IP and then look for the leak source. Very hard to find a leak when it is that dirty.

Cold weather radiator and battery issues

I've had two of the KAT magnetic block heaters melt down and one smoked so bad you could see the traces going up the side of the oil pan. I suggest an in the block heater that goes directly into the water. A warm engine should easily start with a pair of 650s but my 1150s will spin it like a...

TM America has something but I can't remember what. Does it have to be laser? There is a guy in GA that is on here that has access to a shop that does stuff as well but I can't remember if it is laser.
