Im superintendent for an Aerial port. Hickam is a yearly destination for my guys, but getting a piece of rolling stock on a C17 or C5 back to Travis is a pipe dream if its not Govt vehicle or a PCS.

Unless your going aftermarket for the trans controller, you are going to need to change the body harness out.
i can tell you from experience....doing these conversions OEM makes it painless. Will it cost more? Yes...but It ain't a hack job and done correct increases the value of your truck. 99%...
Just start by flushing it...the dot 3 won't ruin anything. Plenty of people have switched over to dot 3 from dot5.
you just don't want to mix the 2. Choose one or the other, just not both. People have also changed the PS fluid over from ATF to steering fluid as well, it just has to be flushed...
The hood is the hardest....I usually have to apply 2-3 times before I get it covered just right. Any bare spot, even primed well just sucks up the paint and shows a light spot. That's why the epoxy primer works best....IMHO.
I cant tell from the pic of your WS frame...is it for the slantback? If you want, I have an NOS hard top WS frame I would trade you that has the correct vents for your application. I am building 2 M1151's with OEM AC and that frame would be correct for my application.
Yes....but that depends on the year of the H1. Later models had heavier moog components.
I always tell folks to use a 92-93 H1 model year...but for the most part, yes....
When the engine is off, the fan is locked on, there is no hyd pressure to push it to the unlocked position.
so when the proper temp is reached, the hyd pressure is denied thus letting the clutch engage.
this takes place from 2 items...the thermostatic switch and the time delay module.
