These are known issues with these trucks.....did you replace your guide pins?
did you put caliper grease on the pins and on the caliper brackets where the caliper rests?
once released, the pads just float and should rise and drop when no brake is applied.
its common to hear clicking while...
You don't need the skid plate in either application if you fab. Bracket for the front cross member...other then the front skid Plate, they are the same. You can always add the frame rail extensions and winch plate....
Let me add...I have seen the harnesses installed with 242's and they never drill the lock lamp hole and installed the lamp....must mot have had a big enough drill bit...you sure you don't have a 242?
those are the power supply leads to the 242 tcase lock lamp...if you don't have the Tcase, you don't need to connect them. just do as I previously stated on 458. If you want..
remove that tcase harness and I will buy it...it runs from the engine area to the Ste/ice connector area and then to the...
all states are different....I see it done both ways. And it can even vary from vin verifier to vin verifier.
if CHP don't like what they see....they give it a new number
jist did a build for a customer that had a new VIN assigned.
A high restistance short will cause the temp gauge to fail or be flakey. I had one where the wire from the block sending unit was bad...just run a wire direct from it.
33A is from eng temp switch
58E is ground
27G is power to gauge.
those gauges are junk...had lots flake temp Gauges.
there is...
458 has 2 leads that come out of the thermostatic fan switch on the left of the water crossover....those connect to 458A and 458B, makes no diff which side you plug into on 458.
458B also goes to the TDM in the harness...so when the temp hits 215ish it closes or open to provide or deny 24v to...
The heater valve on this truck is the same as a HMMWV, mine didn't work because the cable was kinked so bad it damaged the cable. The heater valve was fine...once you remove the cover, you can manually work the valve to turn on and off the flow of water. I ended up replaceing the cable. The...
i don't think I ever saw a tach in a HMMWV.....not even today, and I get more then my fair share going through my section at the base....like every month. I believe they were for the ambulance.
of a truck had a tach, you would see the tell tail sign of where it was mounted...A-pillar rivnuts to...
and the number 2 post after my comtrol box and glow plugs blew up seems to be, how can I make it go faster!
i have talked my fair share of perspective buyer out of HMMWV's just because they think they can make it do 75 on the interstate. My 98 H1 is happy at 65, will do 70 but that's pushing it...
I put the same in the m1097 today...took about 2hrs but worked like a charm...thanks brother.
just so happens I have had one of those tach's for years and found it looking for something else...I had the A-pillar bracket in another box. This tach was part of the complete kit for an ambulance on...
Good work....where is the 2nd red wire going? I see the 24v feed to the gauge, the ground to a gauge....is that the one that goes to the inst gauge lamp power?
While at the tower park MVCC meet last week, I talked with a vendor and we had gotten on subject of the Pulse tech units...He told me that GL has recalled all the units won by bidders at the request of the manufacturer due to fire issues. Not sure if any other vendors or members can verify...
Will, that's not a pain, that's dang near impossible, would have made sense to actually have an external access panal.
I love this truck....but I really think so much of it is a POS on the design and engineering side.
the inline connector I saw and wondered if there are some diodes inline with...
I also wonder if maybe my switch is not bad on the steering column....that may be easier to replace first.
anyone have a takeout possibly known working wiper switch lever?
i accessed the motor yesterday, it's some idiots idea of a cruel joke to somehow access the 3 screws holding the
wiper motor on the mounting plate, let alone the nut holding the wiper pivot.
what I have verified is when I go to 0 it does not go to park, when I go to intermittent, wipers work...
anyone can put on a new data plate with 4 rivets.
look closer at the pics for the 5/16 Phillips heads on the rocker Panals, as well as the footwell tub quarter panels...that's what's holds the armor on. There are 2 levels, basic and supplemental. Will also be on the inside on the sides of the...
I thought about repositioning the arms on the shaft, but the motor is only designed to only rotate the shaft so far, my wipers stroke is correct for the windshield, but when turned off, parks in the almost, vertical position obscuring your vision.
what, retaining nut are you referring too?
