There are nothing wrong with most Craftsman tools. I've worked in garages and have seen people owe their life to the Snap On man. Snap-On, MAC, Etc. are great tools but not worth what they cost IMO. The only thing I don't like in Craftsman is the screwdrivers. I try to go with Kline screwdrivers...
I've got a 6,000lb forklift but that's more than likely more than you want to spend . It does work really well removing deuce engines and such though :-D.
Just a note to the people posting upcomming auction info. It is against the site rules to post about vehicles in upcomming or ongoing auctions.

Yohan, I think most people in this thread are talking about running WVO or WMO in multifuel engines. Multifuel engines can digest fuel that would kill most other diesels.
I've been looking at the generators also. I've wanted to bid on some in the past but always chickened out. I'm leary of buying electronic equipment from GL. The generators aways seem to go for more than I want to put into a pile of scrap and I figure that's a fairly good chance what you'd get...
I've used Gillespie spray cans with good results on small parts. When I get around to painting my whole M35 I'm going with Gillespie. It's a better paint than CARC IMO and cost alot less.
I know a local guy that had some UPS wheels and tires for sale. Don't know how he got them as their policy is to destroy everything. I didn't ask .
The local scrap yard got in about 100 UPS trucks. They had to have a UPS inspector watch everything on the truck be destroyed. Couldn't take so...
All you need is nuts and washers? Should be able to go to the local nut and bolt store and get what you need. Any A3 specific parts are hard to find through surplus. There just isn't many spare parts out there for these trucks.
There should be a civilain market out there for these hoods as...
The truck in question had extra tall bows, chicken wire under the cargo cover, rear doors on the back, and lights mounted inside the cover when it came from GL. Don't know if this helps as to what the truck was used for.
Justin, Post your VIN number in this thread and CARNAC can give you more info on the truck. I know he's trying to be modest but he's better than Google when it comes to deuces .

What's up with the springs in pic 14? That's way more springs than came on a deuce . You may already know this but the tank isn't military. I'm not sure the truck dosen't have a sprag (automatic) t-case. The air switches under the dash are different than what's on a air-shift. Like I said...
Every deuce is worth messing with if the price is right. I bought a fuel truck one time (close to the same as a water truck) that was almost completly rusted out, no axles, and didn't run. All I wanted was the t-case PTO but I got plenty of other good parts also. If the price is right and the...
