Althing runner has a shelf life....once it's up, it's surplused out.
even rivets have a shelf life in aviation...the lubricant applied to them actually has a shelf life, not the actual rivet.
the box is one tell tale sign, but anything I've seen NOS has mfg no., NSN etc on them....nothing= After...
Simple....the regulator failed. It's ok to start the truck to at least get an output reading, but did you attempt to turn down the output?...remove the Allen head and a screw driver to see if it will adjust.
Found my fronts low...rears were new looking GO. I have drained all of them and will refill...but to where? 4 o'clock position? Looks like they were filled at the 2 or 3
If they were in fact NOS kits...they are.....you get 2 seats, one for the battery box and one for the seat base.
the install parts are all in a flat box.
There is no paperwork...adding a slantback kit is not an MWO.
As far as I know, an M998 was never converted to an m10xx truck....they come this way from AM General.
NDT...to recap please....4 o'clock, check each hub and fill correct..
and yes,diffs are seperate...so,that's a no brainier.
I Will liken it too a HMMWV, it has 4 geared hubs and 2 diffs...all need fuild.
Would it be recommended to go to 6'oclock and drain and refill at 4?
Is that the 8 pin connector on the front of the tcase?
Im trying to down load the TM's but having bandwidth issues...
I see the Allen head for the front hubs...what's the procedure on those, meaning...what's the plug orientation when checking? And how much to fill?
Just picked up a 1078 on a trade...couple of questions
diffs, I assume is 80-90 GO, it's a little noisy up front and read a thread about checking levels...other then the main diff housing, where else is it checked?
I see no other access point...unless I'm mistaken.
on the trans bell housing ...
FOr anyone doing this..fyi, the military does not use nord locks, they are used on the civ trucks. No harm no foul.
also, the bolts are metric...not inch. The head is not what a normal American metric head is..so you have to order them from a vendor, who sells them for a Hummer H1.
factory AMG...
Needs new J-pipe, new glass, new front seat, new top, rear top and paint.
anyone have a front radiator diamond grill? Mine has a long tear in it, I have an nos bottom, just not the top.
