I was under the impression that all M35A2s came from the factory with a slave cable receptacle. I picked up one from GL a few weeks ago that doesn't have one. I don't mean somebody removed it. I mean there's not even a hole there so it couldn't have had one any time in it's life. Has anybody...
Blackmagic, I'd edit your last post. They are really cracking down on politcal statements around here lately. Just don't want to see you get it trouble .
You're right it does go bad. A multifuel will digest fuel that would be considered bad for most diesels though (if it's clean). If it has a bunch of trash in the fuel I'd either change it or bring plenty of filters.
If a scrap man bought them he didn't know what they weighed. You can't make any money paying that for scrap at the current prices.
I don't think the prices were that out of line. Sure, it seems like alot compared to what trucks are bringing at other locations but if there aren't many trucks...
1.5" shaft will be more than enough for a deuce. I've installed several dumps on civilain trucks and I either use the hinges from the truck the bed came off of or I make my own.
Depending on your hoist you may have to raise the bed for clearance but I wouldn't if I didn't have to. There are...
Thanks for catching my mistake guys :-D. Went I saw the post there was an issue of MVM sitting beside me so I picked it up and looked up the number. I read the wrong line . I edited my post so there wouldn't be any confusion because the last thing I would want is somebody ordering green...
Thanks for sharing that Kevin. It's good to see somebody standing up to GL and winning. I've bought some stuff that was damaged or things stolen but the stuff this happened to I got a good deal anyway so I just took it and didn't file anything. I won a engine one time that was listed as a "LDS...
Sounds like the just gave you a refund because it was the easiest thing to do. Instead of getting you a new cover or refunding the amount of a cover they just canceled the sale and will resell the truck. GL will always take the easiest way out. Make sure they didn't hit you with a default fee or...
I was in contact with him to get it but he never responded to my last PM about when I could come by and get it. I didn't have his email so the only contact I had was through PM here and he hasn't been around here in a long time. I was just going to pick it up because their shop is about 30 miles...
You can find them for less than that. I know I'm a little ways from you but I have a M35A2 for sale now with a winch, hardtop, air-shift for $3,500 . It's listed in the classifieds.
I don't have a use for it but I would think somebody around here would. Either fixing up another fire truck or looks like it would make a great utility bed.
Been there, done that. My fix was to cut the hole in the end of the tube frame. I them welded a standard 3/8" nut to a washer. I could then stick the nut with the washer welded to it on the back side and weld the washer to the cab from the outside. Alot stronger than the cage nuts.
I wouldn't worry about the plates missing too much. You can get reproduction plates. Just get your frame number off the frame and enter it in the new plate. The military does it all the time.
I think it is missing in the pic BTW. The plate you see is the weight data plate.
