    The winch drive is a convoluted multiple shaft arrangement, it goes down, then up, then over. See the manual for the details. Careful with the radiator, it is irreplaceable.

    Those N3030 units are hard to find. The N3207 units with the led's can be found but they won't plug in. If you are stuck far from home, plan b could be a cheapo gas generator with a battery charger.

    Suggest obtain McMaster Carr stock aluminum knurled thumbnut and turn it down to correct appearance.

    There are several threads here that conclude that alternator shedding is due to driveshaft vibration due to the spline being worn out. Something to look at tomorrow.

    You can drive in the daytime for about 30 minutes or more without the alternator functioning.
