Soon as I get the new floor in I'll be ready to go. Don't worry about the spray gun cause I have a Binks. And I've painted vehicles recently. Let's see...the last one I painted was the summer I graduated HS and that was only 27 years ago. It's like riding a bicycle. Should come right back.
I haven't had any problems or undue delays (only 1 revision in 4 EUCs and that was the 1st one). I did have to stay on them about 1 and they admitted it was a screwup on their end but it was still processed within 10 business days. What my concern is this time is that this is the 5th EUC...
I've used Broadway for 2 different vehicles and everything went smooth as silk. If by "too much hassle" you mean you'll have to fill out 2 pages of paperwork and get it notarized, then yeh, it's a big hassle.
I sent my 5th EUC this morning the same way I sent the other 4 - by email. I then got a note from Brandi that said I needed to fax the EUC. Hearing "EUC" my brain naturally interpreted it "EUC Paperwork" which would include the DL and Export Letter. When I emailed back asking how to fax a...
I believe the official technique is to paint the whole vehicle with the 383 green then draw the outlines for the brown in chalk and then apply the black in the same method. The military wouldn't airbrush anything to soften it up they just go 100mph to get it done
Not to steal the thread, but I'm planning on doing this also. I have a friend with an '88 Suburban and the window regualtor between that and the Blazer are different. Has anyone tried this switch?
I run a non-profit called VFMS - Veterans Fighting Multiple Sclerosis - in case you're looking for a charity. We're actually just getting under way (501c3 application, etc.) While this isn't as much in the headlines as the Wounded Warriors or Operation Homefront (both outstanding charities)...
Check the Resources page. There's a TM with how to do the 3 color camo. Gillespie Coatings have the right colors and you can get all of them from RAPCO. 383 Green is the base and what's inside the passenger and engine compartments.
That's why I stay north of 1604 except to go to Ft Sam.
San Antonio does have Fiesta (Six Flags), SeaWorld, the Alamo, etc so there would always be something for the folks not interested in the OD stuff but I'm not sure what we could do outside a Show/Swapmeet kind of thing.
One thing to check is the right motor mount. The mounts from this era have a tendency to fail and in doing so crush the fuel line. A friend worked on mine for several days before finding out that was the problem.
Since it's closer from El Paso to LA (812 miles) than it is El Paso to Beaumont (833 miles) I would ditto Pawnshop and jeepJeep and say somewhere in central TX. If it's around Waco that would be a couple hour drive from DFW, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and all the little towns in between. It...
You can probably get 3 rows deep and 5 wide between the left Quarter and the Spare Tire and then another 4 or 5 high so I'm guessing realistically you could get 50 or 60 packed in there tight.
I'm not suggesting you buy 30 or 40 more sacks but I'm just saying...
There was a nice home-built 1009 console on eBay yesterday. It had 2 cup holders, power port, cell phone caddy, and a locking lid. If it hadn't been going for over $165 (like down around $20 maybe) I would have bid on it.
I'm still kicking around the idea of a 20mm ammo can between the seats...
Discuss is one thing but so far almost the only thing I'm hearing in this thread is whining about something taking a couple of weeks instead of going through the drive-thru for their EUC. Instant gratification is for microwave popcorn not government paperwork.
Again, as bulldog_mack said, DON'T USE THEM if you can't handle having to jump over additional hurddles. These guys don't get paid off of referrals, references, bonuses, etc. They have no incentive to do anything but punch the clock.
I've bought 4 items needing EUCs since Feb. A couple went...
There are a lot of EUC threads on here that tell you exactly what you need to send, i.e. color DL, Export Letter, etc. A little research and a lot of patiece is needed. Remember this is not the government but a monopoly supplied by the government. That means they care less.
I was convinced I had a short somewhere that was causing the problems. Why else would phantom lights come on and the battery drain? After I had gone through some of the logical places for a wear rub I recharged the batteries, replaced the Gen1 lamp and fired it up. Now the Gen1 light stays on...
I agee 100%. Everything is out there to be found and if someone is interested they can do a search just like everyone else. And that includes eBay whether it's your item or not.
