Good point Gimpy. I didn't catch that. That could very likely be where the smoke is comming from. If you are "pouring" smoke out of that tube you could have excesive blowby.
I had an old IH Loadstar with a NHC250 and no muffler. I know how loud they are. I thought it was cool at the time but as I get older I start thinking about bringing unwanted attention to myself and hearing loss.
John, I already have the t-case PTO. I have thought about selling it and getting an accessory drive and putting the rest of the cash in my pocket. I've studied the pump mounting and the way I see it I can run a sprocket off the t-case PTO and mount the pump easier than with the accessory drive...
Alot of trans don't have a seal on the input shaft. The shaft has a spiral groove cut in it that keeps the gear oil forced back while turning. I don't know about the deuce trans as I haven't had one apart but if that's the case I can see how the oil could run out of the trans when shut down if...
If it's leaking where the manifold meets the head or any of the turbo connections don't drive it. It will burn out the mating surface (if it hasn't already) and can cost a bunch to get fixed. If it's just leaking out the J pipe just try and put something over the hole for the trip home to keep...
Best place to find a hoist is to find an old civilain dump and rob the hoist, pump, and hinges out from under it. If you have the cash you can buy all this stuff new from any place that deals in truck beds and such.
I've got all the stuff to put a dump under my M35A2C. I just haven't got...
Probably the easiest thing to do is go to CANAC's "vin info thread" and post the VIN and I bet he can tell you the hood numbers and where it came from .
Most of the time the hood number is painted on the inside of the doors. It is on the data plate sometimes too. If the truck was built between '68 and '72 the number will start with "04" followed by a letter and some numbers. If the truck was built between '72 and '82 the number will start with...
If the item requires a EUC you won't get an invoice untill you EUC clears. You will get a notification by email if you've won though. It sometimes takes a day.
Here I am .
The trip should be a little less than 180 miles to Ashland City. I'm 120 from Dickson. I know I'm a little bit off your route but let me know if you need anything.
I am very familiar with what goes into designing and producing parts. The main problem you're going to run into is cost of production in small runs on most parts. It's kind of like the wheel adapers mentioned. What he should have said was "I wish sombody would make an affordable adapter" because...
Please explain para "C" on page 66. It explains what I'm talking about.
A fixed
block will gain a mechanical advantage on a selfwinching
operation even though the sheave of the
block is performing as a first-class lever because
66
the source of effort (the winch) is part of the
load...
I just looked it up. The figure you are referring to shows the load hooked to the end (not the bumper) and the snatch block hooked to an anchor (such as a tree). The figure is showing a load which in not connected to the winch (as in self recovery). The winch is remaining stationary.
If you...
Nope. 2:1 in this situation. It doesn't matter which end is moving.
1:1 would be if you attached the dead end to another tree and not back to the bumper.
I've had the same problem. To get to them you have to cut an access hole into the end of the tube. I ended up taking a nut, welding it to a washer, then placed the washer nut combo on the back side, and welded it in place on the front. My repair isn't orginal but will hold better than the...
I would like to see that TM because the info is wrong. Whenever you use a shatch block (even to just change direction) there is double the line pull on the snatch block hook. If you use the logic you explained you would be able to pull yourself out with 20,000lbs. of force but would only be able...
Doesn't sound like a complete setup if all you have is the winch and gearbox (PTO). A complete setup would include mounting brackets, driveshaft, and shift lever.
