So, I took apart the fault panel for a 400hz machine and you can pop out the red covers. Some hot glue "seals" them.
Popped them in where they were needed and will save the rest. When I feel up to it, I will remove it and hot glue it as it's supposed to be.
Notice when I had the panel open...
Everyone,
Starting another thread to document to fix-up of another MEP 802A I just won from GovPlanet.
Think I got one of the best deals of the year on this one, but hopefully I'm not jinxing myself!
Put fuel in it and started it right up. Making power as it should. Two almost new...
TQG Tactical Quiet Generators. These are the 800 series generators and they don't have any computers as I said. It's all manual and electro-mecanical, just like the older air cooler 00x model's. There are more electrical systems on them then the older generation but it was to improve the system...
Replaced the thermostat again and it is good to go now. Warms up to around 180 deg with no load and then a bit more under 5,000 watt load.
Glad that is settled! Going to do a 6 hour load test today as a "final" test.
My son was admiring his work when he helped me change the belt.
All I...
Updated my lat post with the missing picture.
Fiddled a little this morning with more stuff from my hoarding bin and was able to change out the external fuel connection with some stuff from an MEP 802A that I parted out so it is the same connection as the fuel hoses from the generators if I...
Well, I always kick myself in the but for not going with my initial judgment. That thermostat seems to not be working because of it's fitment. Ran for 30 minuets under 100% load and it never went above 150 deg.
Got the Onan one on it's way and I get to do it again. Go ahead an laugh!
Funny...
So, installed the new gauge today. Old one had a ton of rust come from behind it.
It isn't a direct replacement, even though it is a NSN replacement.
New one has NPT, the old one was AN. Also, it was slightly smaller but did mount in the hole. I used parts from my stock to make it work. I...
Yeah, I think I might need to do that with the one on my trailer.
As far as the modifications for the fuse, I made a video a while back for my YouTube channel. Has links in the description to the parts;
Got the fan belt on today, was pretty easy working it as as Ray70 recommended above. Old one was really shot. I think it was the original from 1994. I just cut it to take it off. Put my 4yr old to work.

I THINK I read it on this forum years ago, but I needed a...
It is a 0-200 PSI Fuel pressure gauge, part number G32781. NSN 6685-01-399-0065. NSN information really doesn't seem correct as it comes up with temperature information.
Made the missing cover fit that came in. Last thing, is the fuel filter and fuel pressure gauge. The gauge I got will fit but I found in the TM that the pressure goes higher than the range I got. Not sure if I will install it. Finding something to replace it is seeming to be hard. I'm wondering...
