Now I think you are on to something, not sure about the dump truck pump (thought they were made into the valve and reservoir) but adding the rear output on the PTO could work if there is room for a pump. The reservoir can go behind the passenger fuel tank. A 925 tank and pump should work nice...
That looks like way more work than the setup Goldeneagle ce up with. I will try to find the thread and post it here.

This is going backwards the shorter frame will flex less. The 931 frame is braced way more at the back 5 feet than any other 5 ton. The front half will move more than the rear of a tractor. If you use the factory mounts you should be fine as it is basically a 3 point mount for the cab, two...
I figured we would hit Atlanta about 2 pm. Google maps says 7 hours over I figure we are probably looking at 9 hours being big and slow or am I miss calculating something? Should I call it 10 hours and 48 mph average? That still puts us in Atlanta by 3 pm, is that to late?

Did you get the piece that looks like a 4-5 foot angle iron with a bunch of holes in it? It is needed to reinforce the back of the cab

I bet it isn't getting to hot, what did the temperature gage read when it was pushing out antifreeze? I have seen my M931A2 push out fluid and it is never overheating the gage and my IR gun confirm this. The fan wasn't running when it did this. Old saying Trust but verify.

At what point do we need to start thinking about putting the oil squirters in our little engines that can? You guys are killing me, I am thinking about a p-pump with 480 injectors, squirters, second turbo, bigger exhaust header and pipes, mrap intercooler radiator assy, electric fans, and dual...
Yes this seems to be a common problem with the A2 , this is yet another reason to change to a civilian alternator like the one sold on SS by member 74M35a2.

Are you 100% it is over heating? I trust my shutterstat more than the gage because the senders are known to read high when they go bad. Check it with a IR gun to get an accurate temperature.

You can't use the crane if you declutch for the rear winch to stop so it still wouldn't work well sorry I keep throwing kinks in your ideas.
On the CV shaft I think if you ditch the CV shaft and the box it attaches to, you could run it at a lot less angle and looks like it would run almost...
All of above is good information but when checking on a fuel problem always start at the tank. I have seen good mechanics pull their hair out until they started over at the tank. First do you have enough fuel in the tank? Make sure put at least 15 gallons in unless you have a full tank...
