    Yeah you should be able to just remove the air line from the actuator and cap it and the spring should push it back so you can shift the transfer case, if not unscrew the actuator and use the magnet to remove the detent pin.

    Guy's come on these trucks are 30-40 years old replace all the rubber fuel line, and if you have that tiny inline filter replace it with a big military or civilian spin on type you will be happy you did.

    Sounds like you need to PM your whole air system, I would start at the drain on that tank and disconnect it from the tank and clean it out and then do all the rest of the drains, then start on the feed lines and check valves, you are going to find lots of rust and crap.

    98G is correct but you have to understand when he says no air that means shut the truck off then open the gladhand on the driver front and let it bleed off all the air and you might even need to pump the brake petal to get all of it out.
