Air Pack for M52A2; Will a M35A2 one work

I just felt I needed to write and acknowledge my lack of knowledge as I don't want to mislead anyone. I honestly do not know if the above highlighted sentence is true and I don't want to mislead anyone! Sorry.

I Start Changing Out Head Gaskets Today

That's a darn good question. I have only changed my oil 3 times in the 5 years I've owned it (I change it in the spring of the even numbered years). So last oil change was spring of last year (2014). I have not stuck my hand in the drained oil and felt around, but there has not been any metal...

    M923A2 Doing 80 MPH!!

Interesting and useful, THANKS! However, I would suggest one determines what 395/85R20 MV-T tire they have: Load Range G or Load Range L I assume that the way Daniel Shy wrote "395/85R20 G MV-T" that he's referring to the load range G tire, and that writing "395/85R20 L MV-T" would refer to...

    Distracted Driving

God bless you for helping. This is why, while legal, I try not to drive my deuce on the main interstate here. At best, I'm going 15 MPH less than almost everyone.

Just a question - why is editing allowed in some forums, but not others?

I just _hate_ bothering staff (unless it's a legitimate thread move or post delete needed). No matter how many times I proof read something I can come back to it later and find words I left out and other horrible grammar that makes me wonder how anyone understood what I was trying to say/ask!

Just a question - why is editing allowed in some forums, but not others?

So far I've only ran into this with the 3-month window and the Conversations forum. Any thought yet on reversing the Conversations forum so it can be edited?

Air Pack for M52A2; Will a M35A2 one work

I'd talk to 73m819, but my gut says (meaning use this with a grain of salt) that without the front drive shaft it would still appear to the sprag that the front axle isn't turning and thus be engaged, leading to the excessive wear scenario. Also, report back what the Kinder, Gentler Ron says...

I Start Changing Out Head Gaskets Today

I forced forum member red into looking at the blow-by on my truck last Saturday. Re-checked the dip stick for oil color and content (still looked normal), and then added about 2 quarts of motor oil. The engine still started easily and ran fine with all indicators (temp, air, oil) all in the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

It is the exhaust pipe in shape of a "J" http://www.ccsurplus.com/content/m35-m35a2-multi-fuel-new-turbo-exhaust-j-pipe

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Just paste the YouTube video URL, SteelSoldiers website auto embeds it so you don't need to paste the HTML embedded link. Oh, never mind. It is working.

M35A2 low power, white smoke & rough idle

Would you see the "chocolate milk" look of the oil with coolant in it if you were to pull the oil fill cap on top and look inside with a flash light? Perhaps right after running?

Air Pack for M52A2; Will a M35A2 one work

Correct! M809 Series are air-assisted hydraulic brakes, just like the deuce. I have an M816 wrecker in my driveway to prove it. ;) No caging of brakes needed (or possible). Also, yes, I believe air supplied from the lead vehicle would be used to APPLY the brakes on the unoccupied, towed M818...

    M103 Trailer Shock

Thanks for that link and education on shock absorbers. I'm continually re-learning things that I forget (like the foaming of older style hydraulic shocks). However, I'm glad to learn that my original intent of replacing the shocks with gas shocks was the correct one. Do you happen to have...

    M103 Trailer Shock

I use my M105A2 for anything from parade/display duty (empty) to hauling fire wood, or junk/debris to the dump (like a torn down shed). I would say, obviously, these heavy trailers were designed to perform best when carrying a full load (it did great with the fire wood, didn't bounce or throw...

    M103 Trailer Shock

Would the gas make it ride rougher? Through a simple, not in-depth search I found this video, and it seems to suggest adding gas shocks would make it ride rougher (I have no knowledge/experience in this area). I don't want the trailer to be even bouncier...

    M103 Trailer Shock

M103 Trailer Shock Absorbers and mount I just purchased these pair of shocks off of a Mobile Kitchen Trailer to put on my M105A2. I was wondering if anyone else has done similar. Did you keep the oil (hydraulic) shocks or did you go with a different type? The stock shock appears to be 13" from...

Deuce Billet Dual Fuel Filter Assembly

Man I love the "wordier" version. Helps folks like me :D First Question: What does RLF mean? (RLF Adjustment) Relief? If you sell these, include in your price a creation of perhaps instructions such as for adjusting or what pressures should read. Second Question: Are the pressure gauges...

    Shout out to Gunzy

I wasn't with them during the tow trip but it followed very well. They had the steering wheel tied off (so it couldn't do as you described) but it caused towing issues. They did have 1 instance through a big dip where the tires just turned to one side and scrubbed the edge tread. I wonder if...

    Shout out to Gunzy

Gunzy did a huge favor and flat towed red's deuce to my place for easier working on and since the M816 wrecker is so close having a functional crane, but so far from road worthy - work can still continue on both trucks. His beautiful M925 looked like Santa's sleigh loping down the street...

My posts showing up to me as unread

Just before signing on this morning (web browser gets reset/cleared every day). It's really just a trivial thing and I won't deny that it may just be this Invincia Freespace Internet Explorer web browser.
