Finally installed my air dryer. A few thing yet to be finished up (better hoses, & electrical)

I also removed the leaking regulator from my air-assist steering.
Question about the electrical component. I was going to do as was suggested earlier in the thread, piggy-back off the fuel pump power supply. However, it appears that both the power lines for the fuel pump and fuel gauge sending unit are taped together: (the tape bundle my finger is pointing...
I'm going to say "Yes". (Did someone like me just answer a question from Gimpy? Whoa.) :D
I couldn't imagine putting it anywhere else, let alone it actually fitting. There's just enough room for both clearing the differential chunk and to actually install the air dryer. You are also pretty...
The dryer feels very heavy and awkward when sitting under the truck while trying to lift the air dryer onto the bracket and through the supporting hoop!
Here is a test mount with all bracket bolts still a little loose so I could move the dryer this way and that way. I ended up buying 2 bolts...
Thank you. I'm not sure why Evco made me the red hose as I had said it was a vehicle application. I'll need to talk to a more experience employee next time. On the bright side, hey, least I'll get it made shorter ;)
I see you have a long plate behind your dryer so you can mount the hoop all the...
The handled the control for the dryer by adding a tee off the bottom of the Governor. The stock fittings for the hard line to the compressor just threaded into the bottom. I used the same 1/4" DOT rated air-brake line and push-to-connect fittings, routed down the same path as my axle breather...
And here's my installation of the AD9 Style air dryer as seen in previous posts.
But first I'm going to get on the "safety" high horse. Watch out for this frigg'n bolt at the drain end of the air tanks. It'll constantly remind your head that it's there, lower than everything else!
I...
This may or may not be helpful to the early deuce....

Definitely take pictures anyway you can. The ones you uploaded are indeed like thumbnails (but better than nothing, but don't expect us able to help you "look at something" with them that size). When you login, check the box "remember me" and you won't have to log back in again until your web...
Hello and welcome.
Lets back off from your information/question dump and take things one step at a time.
The brake master cylinder is located in a most "convenient" spot below the driver's feet. There is a trap door on the floor that you'll open up. You'll then see the top of the master...
Unless it's really rusted out, the wheel (brake) cylinders are super easy to rebuild and hone out. I would venture a guess that what's going on is fluid is escaping from an old, tired cup inside the brake cylinder (likely the spring is the inferior kind w/o "cup expanders"). As said, it won't...
In northern Utah right before Christmas 2014 there were a number of pipeline trucks (M756) for sale. I only saw two in person:

And greetings from Utah!
My sympathies for not being able to keep the camouflage. :-P (it's 1/2 the fun for me). But the "just a regular guy" is a strong argument that I see a...
You've jumped in both feet first and no looking back!
:goodjob:
Just don't get distracted or over daunted (easy to do with these trucks). There's too many unfinished projects out there, especially in the automotive world, left to languish in part strewn heaps. MVs seem particularly susceptible.
