As far as I know, the diff fluid in mine is from 1985 and probably had what the engineers considered the correct fluid as built. I have taken samples, they show no worries about swapping the oil out even though it´s almost 32 years old.

I just switch mine off when they are in the position I want them to be in. They driver´s side one normally wants to park towards the left while looking out and I prefer to stop it when it´s to the right.

I did mine the same way when grinding my caster plates. Worked fine for me as well!

As surmised above, it will work fine if you only switch the rears to LED. If you try to switch the rears and fronts to LED, you'll need to wire in resistors from the signal wires to ground in order to make the flasher function. I ran LED tailights for years with no problems.

It will do that if you are low on coolant as indicated by the top radiator hose collapsing with a hand squeeze and I'm assuming the radiator cap still on. No coolant around the probe equals no reading on the gauge.
