Happy to see some interest. I'll be cooking a good bit of stuff as my youngest turns 5 during the week this will go on. He's a big fan of CUCV's and really loves his Sarge which is my M1028. I'll let him and his mother drive it and I'll bring the Deuce as my oldest like's it the best. It's a...
Did you run it's line to the bucket. I'll bet it's old, and the inner portion is collapsing under the suction. It might even look fine on the outside. Change the line from the IP to the fuel filter and post back.
I curious about a few things in your post. Do you have a NHC 250 or a 6CTA motor? Easy was to tell is if you have 6 injection lines coming from the pump or 1. If you're motor has only 1 line going to the head you have a NHC-250 which is fine. In my experience, as long as a NHC250 has been...
If anyone breaks down near the area, I've always got a towbar, chains and airlines if towing an M809 or M939 series truck. I can get you there and could quite possibly fix it.
I'd be interested as well. I attended MRAP University there in 2010 and saw some of the M939 trucks being rebuilt. My first thoughts were, "why in the world are they rebuilding those, the FMTV is well established at this point". Well, I saw trucks stripped just about to the frame rails and it...
http://gastateparks.org/net/go/parks.aspx?LocationID=29 Copy and Paste the link in your browser for park details. After working with Atomic on his truck today, we came up with an idea of a get together for members close to the Veterans State Memorial Park for 27 July. They have a small Museum...
Appreciate the recognition guys!!! I'm nobody special, I'm just an average everyday person who was raised up "Old School" and just happen to enjoy this hobby with ya'll.
Some folks need pics for everything. I followed a sarcastic post with another possibly worse sarcastic post. Enjoy the pics of the two trailers hooked together and hooked behind my Deuce. It did pull them about 20-30 feet in my yard. I was bored and honestly was testing my backing skills...
I had one that I replaced all the lines on. She'd start right up when the temp was 70 degree's or above. Below that, slow cranking, white smoke and then like a grenade going off, she'd fire up and rattle like a tin can full of marbles. The same rattle you'll hear from a NHC 250 under a load...
Nobody took the bait. What I wrote was true, I've still got 2 MK 14's in Tandem Tow configuration behind my truck. I plan on hauling the combo to Missouri and dropping the MK14's and driving back. Should take around 2 days at most and I'll bet I can get 62 mph on the flats considering my...
I just used my Deuce to back an MK14 trailer and hook up to another MK14 trailer. The combo is normally hauled by an MK 48 which has a 425hp Detroit. I don't think anyone else has tandem towed this combo with the prime mover being a M35A2 and both trailer's riding on Pintle hitches but my...
Hoefler, It looks like it dropped the back end of the M923 worse than my Deuce. I know mine dropped about an inch or so at the pintle but it looks like your truck dropped about 2. I'm sure your truck got it up to speed better but it towed like a dream behind the Deuce. A little slow but I'm...
You could do a 2,200 pound load in the bed and 23,500 on the pintle for a GCWR of 38,700 if you're not in a hurry!! There were 4 tires, I know they don't weigh that much each!!
I may be game if it's a runner. I'd check it over good and drive it to your house. Let me know, we'll arrange a price. It's 180 miles to get there, 150 or so to your house and then about 90 miles back down 75 and 300 to get home.

I got some 3/4" feet from 3D Angus thinking that they would be what was needed for my M1028. Turns out it has 1" pins just like my Deuce. I gave them back to him at the GA Rally so I know he had a set if your CUCV has the 3/4" pins.
Or you could maneuver you're 48/14 combo and hitch up to you're MK 18 trailer on the pintle and towbar arrangement and pull it off that way. I'm not happy at all about the trucker fussing about stowing the tires on the step deck above the fifthwheel at all this evening. It was his idea and he...
Well, Sir, you could probably do just that but you'll need a forklift nearby to lift the towbar once you get ready to unbolt it!!! Then you can back the MK48 to the trailer on top of a trailer and be good to go provided you've unhooked the MK48 FPU if it's hooked to an RBU and nobody loses the...
Sir, the ramps are only rated to 20K, the trailer with towbar comes to about 23,5K. The Deuce would have been on the ramps before the trailer was off and that's another 13K. I'm glad I decided to load the trailer on the trailer with a wrecker as the driver quickly informed me that he would not...
