Starting new thread for same old problem.....

. Yep! Having a spare set of points and condenser is always a good thing... Definitely GOOD that you found the cap with a loose wire. And even better that you stopped there to test against what you found. Yeah, I know points and condenser aren't big buck items - but not firing the parts...

    Fuel Return Line Pressure?

. Well, I am on the "watch list" here. I have occasionally had an opinion. And I have a bit of a political leaning as well. Sometimes I may have spoken "out of turn" according to the rules. I have a little juice in the TM section, but other than that I just tend to welcome everybody new...

I might be a little crazy – 4,000 mile M1079 recovery Illinois to Alaska

. Yeah. Congratulations on fixing the bushing! You will feel a difference in the "ride quality" immediately. Sad to say, the other side is a bit more of a PITA to get at...

    Fuel Return Line Pressure?

. Nope. I spend more time than I should, but I read and even understand most of what I "like". I worked on military trucks back in the early 80's for a steel high-line company. Rebuilt from the ground up. Worked on trucks, then got into hydraulics. Not claiming to be the all knowing. Just...

    Fuel pump issues

. I am of the opinion that it might run - but it will heat up quickly. I think it will smoke the motor running it on 12v. Deep cleaning it might work...

MV of the month May nomination

. See if you can find a bigger, better picture! If you win, I'm gonna have a dickens of a time trying to enlarge it to fit onto a calendar page...

    Elec fuel pump

. In my opinion, the condenser will fault like that. Hit a bump and it will turn off the truck... That is a fairly inexpensive part to replace. AND there is nothing to "set" like points. Just remove and replace...

. Well Nick, here is your official Welcome to the Outfit! Since you have lurked for a while, maybe you already know about the TM Section? Technical Manuals might be helpful in your quest to get your M818 up and running...

    Converting a 005A with a Digital Controller

. Pretty Amazing how much load those Ballasts draw. We have (had) 45 four foot T-12 fixtures in our offices. About 6 years ago, we bought T-8 Florescent Replacements with LEDs. That naturally eliminated the foot long and four inch wide Ballasts. Saw a heck of a reduction on office power...

    EUC Wait Times

. Yes Sir! And we need pictures of the pickup and load out. Might even want to start your own thread... You will be amazed how much the truck will change over several months. I started out with a M936 and I thought it was beautiful when I got it. Then I snapped a few pix, and added a hard...

. Welcome to the Outfit! Well, you don't have to know a lot. We host the TM's (Technical Manuals) for the CUCV including the Civilian books. AND, there are us - ask away - but at least try to look at the books...

. Welcome to the Outfit! When and if you get yourself one off these green monsters, be sure to download the TM's (Technical Manuals) for whatever you end up with. They can be a little boring - but everything you need to know is in those books.

How many RPMs should a Humvee 1165 6.5 L turbo

. Yes! There is plenty of sound deadening materials - some with "sticky back" that you can peel off and stick to the inside of the "doghouse". That will cut out a lot of noise from the engine. Then a little more under the seats and maybe a little in the bed of the truck as well. Spray bed...

    MX-6707 antenna CB HACK

. So... I don't have the real answer - but if you had a SWR Meter - you might be able to trim the antenna to the right spot.
