    DOT vrs Standard Nylon hose

I'm aware Nylon is a polyamide. The different layers are not just for UV and moisture resistance. They are there for extra strength: ie "fiber reinforced" . That is why they can withstand 200PSI pressures. That regular poly hose from Home Depot will not withstand 200 PSI. This posts intention...

    Just Bought an M35A2

It depends on the unit the truck came from, but in the Marines a star on the roof meant the truck belonged to headquarters. I don't know anything about the Armies markings though.

    rear lockers

Mine too. The Detroit Lockers are great but extremely hard on equipment. Especially axles and side gears.

    whistler turbo sound

What he said :ditto: . Turbo's are a great invention. They can add a tremendous amount of free power to an engine. They can also be very destructive if they decide to let go. All those extremely fast moving parts (40,000 to 100,000 RPM's) letting go can really mess up your day. That's why most...

    Carburetor gobernar Valve

That's the governor. I would leave it alone if it still works OK.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Yeah. That's what I'm leaning towards too. Doesn't make sense any other way. Unless of course their there for some "super special secret weapon" !!!!

There you go. Keep it simple.

    rear lockers

Air-lockers have an extremely high success rate. It is rare to have one leak. If you look at the design schematics of an air-locker you will see that air pressure is only needed initially to "move" the locking ring. Once it has moved you don't need air anymore, until your ready to move it back...

    rear lockers

I'll put in my 2cents here. Having had to remove the differential pumpkins in place before, it is a real pain in the butt ! Yes the cost of the air-lockers is high now, but in the future they will be more ! So having an easy access to the pumpkin now I would say go for it ! When your building...

    horn works sometimes, sometimes doesn't

Considering our horns are electrical/air operated that article really doesn't apply to us.

    Injection pump oil hose

Are you referring to the block fitting ? That was a 45degree 1/4" NPT by 4AN fitting. I had "Hydraulic Supply" in Kirkland WA. build-up the hoses for me. Now if you broke or lost the "special" two way fitting mounted on the injection pump then your in a bit of trouble. They cannot be found. I...

    Injector Return Line Fittings

Your referring to the fuel return lines ? The factory "crush" sleeves can be bought from any "Parker" hydraulics store. I had a thread a few years ago telling about them. Sorry I cannot remember where it is now. It should be under "injection fuel return lines" though.

    whistler turbo sound

Broken shafts in Turbos don't make sounds anymore. They only make sounds while the bearings are going out, then they take out the shaft. Once it has a broken shaft they don't turn anymore. They just wedge themselves into the housing after chewing them up a bit. I have a beautiful "Holeset"...

Mounting my S250 shelter on my M105 trailer.

Well I finished welding up, and cleaning, and mounting up the brackets today. I still need a little help from my son tomorrow to tighten up a few bolts though. Now I can move the trailer from the driveway without having the shelter move. It took me a few hours to properly align the shelter in...

I'll stick with the modern "Reduction Starters" I bought. At half the weight that in itself is a winner in my book !

    Tom's Overdrive kit

Don't kick yourself to bad. I didn't get into the deuces until years after all the cheap ones sold out ! They used to sell for under $500.00 !!!! Running !!!! What really fries my bacon though is there used to be this old hermit guy in Chehalis WA. that had acres of old M135 trucks and parts. He...
