xm757 fuel tanks can't be that hard to find can they? i know where at least one is i think. frank masoner in tulsa area. good deuce tanks should also be easy to find. $100 should buy a real clean one.

also you need to download the manual and read it in bed. this will greatly annoy the wife, always a good thing.

since the only thing that lubes the ip plunger is fuel, i would beware of using gas. yes it will run on it but that is mostly for emergencys when diesel is not available. check fuel pressure at filter bleeder. there are many things that will cause slow starting.

looking at my front axle and the angle it is now at, you would think it is extreme. however it handles, steers, and the wheel returns very normaly, plus no noticeable tire wear.

i know, it's just odd they left it taped to the lift point. maybe that is to allow condensation to escape.

don't forget to retorque the ubolts a couple of times. they will loosen up after some driving. tom, with 3 1/2 deg caster.............

that is the fuel delivery check valve. very high pressures here, no gasket, torque it to 40-45 ft lbs. loosen and retorque 3 times total. if it still leaks replace ip head. this fitting is matched to the ip head, do not swap from any other ip head.

there is not a bleeder valve on the pump, so i wonder what you are referring to? the few ports on the pump do not use any type of sealing washer as the pressure is too high. if it had a brass or copper washer that may explain why it blew out.

you can buy the new 24 v beacons for $30 each, the rest sure is easy to fab.........

it could only be checked with the whole pump assy off the engine and at an injection shop, and then i doubt you would get a satisfactory answer. as long as it starts i would live with it until it gets worse or you find a new head on ebay for $200. you might want to inquire about having yours...

i think i'd put my money on a worn ip head.

the bulbs on ebay are cheap junk made in china. but they would work fine and 24 volt h4 bulbs are easy to get for about $8 each.

the main key thing to do that makes this an easy job is to clean everything of old grease. clean like new and dry. that way things stay where you put them. takes about 20 minutes to change boot.
