yep pretty simple, just be sure the pointer aligns with the marked tooth (under the shutoff cover) before you try to lift the ip head up. this is the only position it will come out in.
this is a very simple thing to fix. turn the switch to service brake and see if you have power on one of the wires to the brake light switch. if yes the problem is in the rear of the truck. if no do the turn signals work? if yes replace the turn switch. if no check wiring from turn switch to...
that plug does not use any seal and must be torqued to specs (given on the label on side of ip head) sounds like you need a new ip head. consider having yours rebuilt. don't pull the whole pump, just the head.
