This afternoon I decided to tackle the insertion of the run-flats into the new HMMWV tires. I removed the wood blocks and applied one tube of run-flat lube. I used a large paintbrush to spread it around the underside of the tread. I then used a heavy duty ratchet strap to squeeze the...
Welcome from Slidell. You may want to read up on Titling and Registering your truck in LA. You can get lifetime registration as a Antique Military Vehicle.
I got the Unistrut 3/8" nuts from Home Depot. I cut 3 short pieces of Unistrut to fit between the angle iron that will support the tool box. I attached the Unistrut to the bottom of the angles in the proper locations to align with the holes in the tool box. Once the Unistruts were secure i...
I removed the spare tire holder from the driver's side. There is a spare tire holder on the passenger side as well.
I had picked up a M931 tool box from Jeff Davis when I dropped off the oil and equipment. I cut the bolts that held the bottom brackets (were torch cut off the heavy angle that...
Was a nice day out today so I decided to work on my HMMWV tires and rims for the truck. I vacuumed the water out of the tires. I tried one ratchet strap on the runflat. It was hard to pull it together to deform it enough to insert into the tire. Decided to call in a professional to help...
Yes these are for the non-turbo NHC 250 engine trucks. All the M939 trucks except the A2 versions use these belts. The A2 versions have a totally different engine.
Thank you for taking care of us again this year. I enjoyed the rally and the company. DUCW was an impressive display. Looking forward to next years event.
I looked up the parts you provided. About $100 for the base and filter. Donaldson makes a base that cross -references to the Fleetguard listed. It is cheaper but aluminum instead of iron. Same 1-1/4"-12 thread for the filter.

I picked up the new fan belts as well as new fuel hose from NAPA today. I was able to reuse the original fittings with the new hose. Installation went easy. When I was going to remove the borrowed hose i noticed that one of the flare fittings was cracked. I went to NAPA to get a new fitting...
Took the truck to Hattisburg, MS Monday to drop off barrels of UMO and my refinery at Jeff's place. Then I went to the storage yard to pick up some parts...Truck ran great for the 80 mile trip. When I tried to restart the truck it would not fire. We went through the usual troubleshooting...
Have you purchased them yet? The AMAZON page is not very clear as to the quantity you receive. Also unless you have a fleet of CUCVs it may take a while to go through 12 filters. Please let us know how many you receive.
BTW the pipe you used was ABS not PVC. PVC pipe comes in white (plumbing) and grey (electrical). ABS pipe (plumbing) comes in black. Totally different glue used to attach sections. (unless you use multipurpose glue) ABS is easier to use because there is no primer needed.
I got the run-flat lubrication kits in today. They included 2 tubes of lube, 1 bag of 16 HMMWV nuts, and new o-ring. Nuts are for re-bolting the 2 halves of the rim together. The o-ring is white silicone and would not sit flat on the rim. It was rolled up to a 3" diameter circle and in a zip...
