Yes that is what i did with mine, replace the spade connectors with new insulated ones that fit the glow plugs.

I had at least two vehicles that I needed to wack the starter with a hammer from time to time in order to get it to start. Eventually I had to replace the starter when that no longer did the trick.

I got an inspection camera if that would help you.

First thing to try is cleaning the battery terminals and clamps. Is the truck still using 24 volts for the glow plugs or is the resistor block bypassed?

It does not matter if AZ requires inspection. If CA requires it for the title then you need to have it inspected -otherwise no title from CA. I would bet AZ would inspect it for you if you requested it.

Are you still cracking the bulbs? Maybe modifying the housing to get some padding behind the bulbs would help?

I have been having hard starting issues with the truck. Been using the glow plugs as supposed to. Sometimes it takes 4 attempts of cranking to get her started. Starter runs great! I think it's the glow plugs. Have not had a chance to test them. I read in another thread they should read 1...

Update on gear indicator (pointer) repair. Removed the self tapping screw. Installed a shorter bushing and reinstalled screw. Used Gorilla Tape from underside of plastic dash to secure broken pieces to dash. Dash reinstalled properly now. Gear indicator still works.

Rydertruckparts has those plastic nut pointers that go over the nuts to make it easier to see when they become loose. They look like tear drops.
