    Needing 5 Ton locker

Or, you can contact Taylor's Surplus in GA. He had take-outs available a while back. I am not saying that GEARHART is not reputable, but I can vouch for M1075. I have done a lot of business with him in the past and he is a good guy...always honest and you always get what you buy. Most guys on...

My BIG M925A2 Project Truck Is Home

Chris, you and Chad were missed at Aberdeen last year. I'll be looking forward to sharing several beers with the two of you this coming May!

My BIG M925A2 Project Truck Is Home

It is always nice to have a brother like Chad helping out! Looking great, Chris!

    towing a deuce

Chuck, you are 100% correct. The problem is many guys think checking the fluids is checking the truck over.

    towing a deuce

This is a great post...and a great lesson that WON'T be learned. We all know that most guys will still drive their trucks out.

Sad, sad day. My Pinz is leaving me.

TODDS112: Check with NEWFDAD. He is in MT. I realize that is a long distance from you, but, for some reason, several hundred miles doesn't seem far out west! Anyway, NEWFDAD (Keith) is big into the Pinzgauer and offroading and you might find a new friend. Sorry to hear about the truck leaving.

For anyone wanting more speed for your deuce

Joe Young once said...if you want more speed out of your deuce, remove the radiator cap and back the truck out. Drive a Peterbuilt in and re-install the radiator cap. These trucks are not made for speed. Guys who paid $1500-3500 for their trucks and can mount monster truck tires on them to get...

JUHA, your English was perfect. Thanks for the response!

    Orignal Color

TulsaME: The paint on your truck looks like 383 green CARC to me. It just is faded. It could be forest green (the base color for the 4 color MERDC camo), but I think it is 383 green.

    Cool. Congrats on the truck!

M105A3 to A2 landing gear conversion

There is NOTHING wrong with the M105A3s landing leg IF you follow the guidelines set forth in the TM. The landing leg is designed to hold up the front of the trailer, whether it is loaded or not. It is NOT designed to allow you to roll the trailer around with a full load in it. If your...

USMC Kawasaki KL650A SOLD on GL!

I have said it before...the GL site encourages you to bid sight unseen with all of the nice pictures and descriptions. Yeah, they tell you to inspect, but they realize that most people will not inspect. Trust me, while I like to inspect before I bid, I have gambled in the past that a truck or...

FMJ, beautiful paint job! Good luck with the sale.

    Bottom line Wrecker Insurance...

I agree with PB. Historic insurance won't cover you to tow other trucks.

    Orignal Color

I believe it was semi-gloss until sometime in the mid-70s when they converted to 4-color MERDC camo. They, then, transitioned in the late 80s to the 3-color NATO camo that we see on most of our trucks. I don't have David Doyle's book near me to quote the exact years for the changes. So, to...

A few good words about g.l.

I've got a choice? Please enlighten me about my options. To the best of my knowledge, they are the ONLY real game in town. Sure, GSA and a couple of other smaller websites have an occasional military vehicle, but no where near what GL has. If you meant to say, "Well, they are a very flawed...

A few good words about g.l.

I should have added above that only a few of those things happened to me. One of them happened to a good friend and the others happened to people on this list and were posted previously. I only typed from the top of my head. I know there were many other horror stories.

A few good words about g.l.

Did people on-site steal $1200 worth of parts off of your trucks? Ever been given the wrong trailer because they gave your (nicer) trailer to someone else? Ever had someone steal the safety chains off of your trailer because the GL rep was not watching customers during pick-up? Ever had your...

    M939's are rebuilt M809's??????

I think JWALLER meant to say that the "939's were NOT rebuilt from 809's." They were new trucks. That does not mean that some parts might not be interchangeable (doors, driver's seat, lights, reflectors, tailgate, etc.)...but they definitely were new trucks...not rebuilds. The M35A3s, on the...
