Another suggestion is to get the news media involved. Some stations have a help line or tip line you can call. Reporters are always looking for coverups.
Actually it sounds like the parking brake is fine. (since the brakes released when he used the spring brake override switch on the dash and the brakes released) Maybe the air lines feeding the parking brake/spring brake lever are plumbed in wrong. (either at the lever or under the truck where...
Looks like they are right in front of the Air Hose that comes through the frame and goes to the wheel.
As far as replacement plates. I got mine from DATAPLATES.NET He already has a sample of the M923 data plate. He would just have to change some of the writing to correspond to your...
I would like a conveyer roll if either timntrucks or Jeff Davis could bring it back with them. Even a partial roll would be fine. (I need it for the cab of the M931 I am repairing.)
Not gonna fit inside the drop-sides. You will need to remove the sides to put the M109 box on top. If you had a shelter that would be different. I would also be concerned about the height. The 5 ton is already taller that a Deuce especially with the 14.00 tires. Now you are adding the...
I suggest you do not put any health related comments on this thread. We are not the only ones that can read them! If you want to talk about the damage to your vehicle (do not do the repair work yourself). Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law.
I agree with doghead about everything he said except the comment about rear ending (jail) I think that was uncalled for in a FAMILY site! (your rules not mine)
Looks like the rear bumperetts are recessed as is the pintle receiver. I think Macus mentioned he had to extend the frame by a foot so the bumperetts would fit where they should.
I did the measuring for installing a M109 box on a M923 chassis. The box will end up about 1 foot in from the rear of the chassis and you will have about a foot in front between the box and the spare tire carrier. I think I have measurements in my M923 conversion thread. I will be doing the...
I have used scuba tanks in the past when I lived in NJ. We had a tenant that was a Diving/Marine supplier and refilled the tanks for free. The problem with compressed air is that the tanks do not hold much volume compared to the same size CO2 tanks. Since I had free refills it was not too...
If the difference is not substantial you may be able to modify the Military hitch so that the lunette fits it. It will reduce the weight capacity of the Pintle hitch but it will fit. I am not sure it would be easy to find the same style Pintle hitch with a smaller size end on it. By modifying...
I found the AD on Ebay. The seller doubled his asking price mid July. It was $28.97 and now $52.68. You can still get one cheap without the cup holders.
I can always make some custom metal ones if I can get the hardware cheap. Basically I need a hinge and lock set. A metal one would be...
I don't care if you take the info to your grave. If i decide to use U-bolts I will just figure it out on my own. I was just trying to save time. Why reinvent the wheel if someone already did it? I am just wondering what this site would look like if everyone took their ideas out and removed...
